Re: Grades
Graduated high school with a 3.68 though I rarely studied beyond doing the actual readings. English (the grammar portion) and Algebra I & II were my weak points though Algebra was mainly because I had lousy teachers. And for proof, I had a good teacher for Algebra III and got A's and B's.
College was just short of a 3.0 (something like 2.98) though over the last 2 years it was over 3.2 (I got an award for maintaining a GPA above 3.2 for the academic year my junior and senior year. I struggled my 1st 3 years (took me 5 years to graduate mainly because of a leave-of-absnece second semester of my 1st year) most with trying to get though the 2 required introductory calc courses for Biology majors. I was diagnosed with ADD before my 3rd year and once I was getting that treated, it really helped.Last edited by BurghFan; 10-12-2010, 01:09 PM.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Grades
3.0 but I slacked off really bad in high school, I could have probably been close to a 4.0 if I actually did the work that I was supposed to and put forth some kind of effort. I was probably at 2.7 until my Senior year when I finally stepped it up and learned that it's kind of important that I do well in high school.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: Grades
3.2 in high school, but I slacked off a ton.
3.5 in college. Slacked off in my core classes, but my actual Sport Management/Marketing classes, I got a 3.9. Didn't really see the point in taking Anthropology when I was a Marketing major, and my grade reflected that.Comment

of course, we all have different goals in life... if you want to get into Harvard, then obviously you're priorities are going to be different. But for my situation, I got 4 easy years of literally doing no work (literally no homework, nothing lol) and got to where I wanted to be
getting good grades in college is much more importantComment

Re: Grades
ha, I don't want to support bad habits, but imo high school is a joke... as long as you do just enough to get into a good college, it doesn't really matter. I had something ridiculous like a 2.6 gpa, then got a 1380 on my SAT's and got into Uconn, which is what I wanted to do all along

Re: Grades
I got a perfect score on the ACT test and didn't even pay attention to half of it. Got a perfect score on the military test too and I didn't pay attention to it.Comment

Re: Grades
High School: 2.9 - was too busy messing around to care about studying.
College: 3.8 - its amazing what a little studying and hard-work will do. I carry degrees in finance, economics, and accounting. I also have a certificate from a local tech school in electronics. Thinking about getting one in computer science.
I'm going back in the Spring or next Fall but haven't decided what to do. Its funny, I hated high school, except for the socialization, but love the challenge of college.Last edited by countryboy; 10-12-2010, 06:09 PM.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
