my mom might be right
She says I have symptoms showing that I'm depressed, I always said I'm not and I honestly thought it. But to find myself sitting here in the dark tearing up every 5 minutes, she might be right.Tags: None -

I don't really know much about psychology or what you should do, but I think that realizing that you have a problem (assuming it's a problem) is the first step to helping yourself.
Talk to your mom, talk to a friend, seek for help. Don't be ashamed of asking for help.My Specs:

Go to your doctor and they can get you in the right direction. What you can do is go to what you really like to do what ever that is. Sometimes that can get you going. If that does't work go see your doctor.Comment

Re: my mom might be right
Suck up your pride bud and go talk to a professional. It takes a much bigger man to do something like that, than it does the guy who tries (and usually fails) to fix this stuff on his own.
I've seen too many friends succumb to depression. Go to a doctor.Comment

I can't overstate the havoc depression wreaks if you are depressed...I also can't overstate the value of a Doctor, or Psychologist in this. There's no shame in needing treatment for a something your body doesn't make enough of, or too much, or whatever it is. There's a stigma around depression that makes me mad. That's like feeling guilty for drinking water when thirsty. Get help, my man...if you need more info, PM me, I'll find you someComment

There's no shame in getting help, especially with stuff like this that is essentially out of one's hands.Comment

Re: my mom might be right
Honestly the fact you think she might be right, and the fact you posted a thread about it, IMO means you are already heading the right direction. Usually the hardest step is admiting you have a problem and then facing it. Seems like you are well on your way to getting through that step.
FYI this is a problem many people are facing. The biggest issue is that not enough people admit they have a problem so people are not getting the help they need. Denial leads to more problems.Comment
