I'll preface by openly admitting when I played college lacrosse I was hazed and actually have a respect for the practice (and we were tame compared to the girls' soccer team xxx-rated hazing), but when you start using weapons there are serious, serious issues. However that is not what I found the most disturbing part of the article to be but instead this little blurb....

The four students, all seniors, are serving three- to 10-day suspensions for their roles in the hazing, which happened after football practice in the Big Sky boys’ locker room.

So let me get this straight, these kids brought a gun to school and shot "at least" 10 other students on school property and their punishment is merely a 3-10 day suspension, which we all know is really a 3-10 vacation from school and they missed their final game. Really? How isn't this met with expulsion and criminal charges being filed?

Although getting shot with an airsoft gun really isn't that painful, the kids are idiots for bringing the gun into school. People have been shot in the past by cops who thought their airsoft guns were real, and the last place to bring any weapon is a school. That may have caused a lockdown if anybody saw the gun.

The kids deserve every bit of that suspension for their sheer stupidity.

At my high school, if you brought a squirt gun (or a plastic toy gun) that maybe resembled a real gun, the scare alone will expel you.

Because they are in Montana thats why. Montana and Wyoming have very weird laws and justice system out in those parts of the country. You can ride a horse to school if you wanted to in those states. When people do stupid stuff out there, they just laugh it off as boys will be boys and thats it.

Now far as hazing.....pretty much happens in every sport or college frat. Happens in the military as well when you join certain units. Happened to me when I graduated from jump school, happened to me when I got HALO certified and happened to me when I graduated from SOF school.

Some people just go over board with it.

At mine we had a kid who was dubbed "The Brown Bomber", who used to take dumps in random places around the school. I never understood how he did it though.

Lol reminds me of the kid who took a dumb on one of the water fountains. What always got me was the water fountains are raised pretty high off the ground so I assume he had to lift himself up to take the poop an have it land right on top of the fountain. Crazy stuff.

Yep, that's a big reason.

I grew up in a very rural, small town. Our principal would schedule drug sniffing dogs and a weapon patrol to come once or twice a year, so a few of the teachers would always give us a heads up so that we could have time to take our hunting rifles out of our vehicles.

It's just a different culture.

Thats funny because at my school us football players hazed the lacrosse players.

My high school didn't even have a lacrosse team

All we had was football, basketball, girls volleyball and wrestling.

I'll leave it at this, the crap girls will do with bananas and make other girls do with bananas is quite disturbing. On top of that the head hazers were lesbians so I really think your imaginations will fill in the blanks.
