Caffeine Overdose Kills Man

He swallowed 2 spoonfuls when the recommended dose was 1/16th of a spoonful. All I can wonder is if this is what he went through before he died.....

I never would have thought caffeine was that powerful in that amount. Never seen it in powdered form. Surprised this doesn't happen more often actually.

I would presume they don't show Saved by the Bell in the UK, that scared a generation of us away from any non-beverage form of caffeine.

I actually read about that on the Darwin Awards website. It was rejected for a Darwin because they consider that type of poisoning to common.

Anyways, I remember one time when I was a kid my family was visiting some relatives near Philadelphia for one of my cousins communion or birthday or something. I drank to much pop that day and had a stomach ache all night.

I've never heard of caffeine in powder form. Very strange way to die. I've heard of a women dying before from drinking too much water which I thought was out of the ordinary.

I used to have quite a bad caffeine problem back when I played poker more. It can definitely be a little more dangerous than people think once you start getting into other forms of it besides the stuff found in drinks.

A lot of these "fat burners" sold on the market are basically powdered caffeine in a pill capsule. Jumps your heart rate up to that of a gerbil. Kinda like Dexatrim used to do.

Many moons ago I worked at a convenience store. One night my shift ended at 1am and I had to go back at 730am. During that morning shift I took so many caffeine pills I had terrible shakes and was cold when I left even though it was 85 degrees outside. It was the best summer ever.
