Zydeco Scream, gotcha. I know what the other two are like, I just didn't want to get into too much detail when I was trying to make a point.

But come to think of it, I've never got to ride Deja Vu at Magic Mountain because it was always closed down! I think it's in the southwest corner next to the Cyclone wooden roller coaster (something else I've never been on there), so it's just very far and out of the way anyway. Invertigo is a pretty prominent ride at Great America, especially ever since Stealth had to be torn down (and it was because it was literally sinking from the poor foundation it was on), and I went on that the first day that it opened. Unfortunately I also went opening day this year with my sister and her softball friends, and it was closed down this year.

New Orleans needs a new amusement park. I sure hope someone buys out that area or does something else. It would certainly be nice to not just have that MW wasteland look to it.

New Orleans could not support it anymore, The City and the Metro area has shrunk considerably and they do not get the tourists they used to. It is a sad fact but it is what it is.

Psyclone actually got torn down a few years ago and was replaced by another (MUCH better) wooden coaster, Terminator: Salvation (http://www.rcdb.com/4173.htm).

And yeah, Great America is a mess. They've had a few new coaster proposals shut down because of the local businesses, and now the 49ers stadium being built across the street is causing them issues. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they shut Great America down within the next few years.

There was a couple of coasters there that had inversions:

            Zydeco Scream
            Jester
            Batman: The Ride

Zydeco Scream was the boomerang, Jester is the one pictured above that (IIRC) had the trains running backwards, and Batman: The Ride was the inverted coaster partially over water that seated 4 across and your feet dangled. I'm guessing Jester is the one you're talking about.

I drove by it when I was volunteering in NO. It was just really sad to see it all abandoned...
