Same here. Well, it makes me wish I had gotten my act together earlier (Since I'm planning on going back) and started in the spring instead of what will probably be summer or fall.

EDIT: On a somewhat related note, I was looking at the schedule for future classes I would have to take and noticed many of them are in the 8-9am range. That's really going suck since I haven't been up regularly at that hour for eleven years. I suppose I'd have to get used to it though in preparation for a 8-5 type job.

That would kill me, but I guess with you working full time you have to do it somehow.

Actually, taking 6 week classes works out pretty well. We usually knock out 9-10 credits a semester by only going one night a week. The workload isn't too crazy for business classes. It's the general ed. classes that really suck.

The thing that would bother me the most is the four hour block. I could deal with it if it was two hours twice a week, but I'd have an extremely hard time being there for four hours straight.

Do you get a little break or anything?

Re: Rate my Spring 2011 schedule

I was master at schedule creation. I never once had an 8 AM class during my 4 years of college. The key to great schedules are getting 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, and 1 PM classes in addition to loading up on classes that are 75 minutes and not 60. Load up on Monday/Wednesday classes so that Thursday and Friday are cake and feel like part of the weekend.

The other key is taking summer classes. I took enough summer classes to where I never had more than 4 classes in a given semester during the normal school year. One class per summer semester adds up quick.

It's really nice coming home at the end of the day, and not having to worry about writing a bull**** paper or doing some physics homework. My time outside of the office is my time, and I can do what I wish with it. That is the one greatest thing about being in the real world.
Yeah thats understandable. I choose the military route after high school because I didn't have a clue what to do with college and loans and just felt overwhelmed with it. I wish I was in college now because I've always been a good student and I can't wait to go to college.

Anywhoo...never really understood the piling of classes on a couple days unless you had a job. Seems like it would just add to the stress level.

Re: Rate my Spring 2011 schedule

Spring is my final semester and then I graduate!

This is what my schedule is going to look like

                    Monday/Wednesday
                    2:00 - 3:15 - Intermediate Financial Accounting (Acct 3100)
                    5:00 - 6:15 - Concepts in Federal Taxation (Acct 3200)

                    Tuesday/Thursday
                    11:00 - 12:15 - International Financial Management (Fin 4420)
                    12:30 - 1:45 - Strategic Management (Mgmt 4199)
                    3:30 - 4:45 - International Management (Mgmt 4190)

Mgmt 4199 is the senior capstone class that all business majors have to take their final year.
I'm hoping to swap Mgmt 4190 with a directed study through this student organization I'm in. I'm supposed to be able to do it, but the department head has been slow to respond to my e-mails.

Kind of odd I only have one finance class since that is my major. I was going to do an economics minor since I only needed like 2 more econ classes to get it, but I realized those accounting courses will give me more job opportunities than the econ minor would.
