Nothing. My mom and aunts will be preparing the feast during the Lions game. We always have at least 20 people gathered at my great uncle's "cabin" (which is nicer than any house I'll ever own). Good times.

My mom's making the turkey -- I'm having a Misfits Thanksgiving for anyone who didn't have a spot to go, so we'll see what everyone else brings. Here's my basic plan:

          2 loaves of bread
          Herb-cheese biscuits
          Hot roasted potato salad
Stuffed small squashes (not sure with what yet)
Pan-roasted Brussels Sprouts w/bacon, sherry vinegar, and shallots
          Vegetable quiche
          Braised kale gratin
          Celery root and potato puree
          Roasted butternut squash soup

Mexican "baklava" (chocolate and nuts w/spices, wrapped in phyllo, served with a chile/spice simple syrup)
          Apple tarte tatin
          Cinnamon Ice Cream
Coquito w/Jamacian rum (instead of egg nog)

I try to avoid the kitchen on Thanksgiving, unless the family needs someone tall or strong. I'd just cause a ruckus and make a mess.

Nothing. My fiancee and I are heading over to her Grandma's house. All I have to do is eat and watch football all day!

Not a damn thing. My only responsibility is to eat.

And for that, I give thanks.

At least get to do that. My sister in law and her husband are only into NASCAR. So no football watching for me, plus they have a 26 inch tv in their LIVING ROOM. FML

On top of that, their living room is so damn small, 3 of their living rooms can fit inside of the living room of my house, so FML some more.

But yet my wife always wonders why I don't like staying long over there

It's like hell, it's tiny, don't got crap to do over there, hot as hell during the summer time and cold as hell in that house during the fall, winter time.
And their furniture is so damn low to the ground, you literally got to fall down in order to sit down.

I just moved to a new state yesterday, so I'm stuck alone this Thanksgiving. I think I may order some Boston Market to go or something. At the very least I bought a pumpkin pie and whipped cream.

My employer gives everyone a certificate for a 20 lb Turkey, but there's no way I would prepare that for myself! lol

Hungry Man is what I used to get CreatineKasey...it's pretty darned good and easy to make!!

A 20 pound turkey, my god you'd have to feed the neighborhood on that. If I was you though I'd get the turkey, eat what I wanted and take the rest to a homeless shelter. Unless that's too much of a hassle for you...just a thought.
