Poker. Used to write poetry as well, but I think the creative part of my brain died.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Golf, snowboarding, playing darts/pool, playing guitar, playing cribbage, collecting Phish shows, and looking for a job. Thinking about it I'd list drinking but that's more of a way of life then a hobby.

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

                  Re: Non-gaming Hobbies?

Movies used to be my biggest hobby, but my son makes it difficult to sit down and watch a whole movie. Whenever I do get a few hours of time to myself, I typically play video games, so that kind of cuts down on watching movies as well.

I know i'm getting a Kindle for Christmas, so reading will probably shoot back up to the top, especially since I can bring it to work and read whenever.

Other than that, I like teaching sports to my boy as much as I can. In the winter, we'll throw a football around, and in the summer, it's all baseball. He'll only be 3 in December, so he does lose interest quick, but he's very coordinated. He's a little slugger when we play baseball. It blew my mind how quick he picked up on hitting, and he loves doing it as well. Can't wait till he starts tee ball!

-I'm big on writing. But I'm also quite narcissistic so my writing almost always has to do with my own life. I'm in a state of constant reflection, out of fear that one day I may forget details about my own life.

-I play basketball every day. It's an overwhelmingly huge hobby of mine. A hobby branching off this hobby would be dunking. I love doing it and I just can't enough of it.

-Riding bikes and kayaking. . .in a completely amateur and tame fashion. I don't ride my bike off sweet jumps and I don't kayak through whitewater rapids.

-Visiting Lake Michigan. It's an hour drive from my house or a 35 mile bike ride via Kal-Haven Trail. Summer visits are great but especially winter. I take pleasure in the solitude.

                    -Laying in the snow

                    -Piano playing

-Boomeranging. My awesome wooden blade split in half about six months ago on a rough impact and I haven't been able to come up with another one since. I miss it.

snowboarding, reading and writing would be my main ones right now. Unfortunately I suck at them. Snowboarding, I just don't get out enough, plus living in Ohio there are not many good places within close driving distance. Reading, I have yet to finish the last two books I got. Writing, well I think everything I write sucks.

I was thinking maybe he meant he just shows up at fires with his own bucket of water and perhaps a garden hose. He's just in it for the love of the game.
