I'll just mention probably the best in all of Canada, Stephen Brunt. The guy is smart, knowledgable in a lot of areas and writes magnificently. His last 3 books have been highly praised and informative. One on Ali's opponents, another is a biography of Bobby Orr and the his latest was a very detailed and great look at the run up and impact of the Gretzky to LA Kings trade.

Re: Best Sports Writers?
Got to agree with folks on Posnaski...far and away the guy I enjoy reading the most. I will say that I used to love reading Rob Neyer, but I haven't been able to since his stuff became ESPN Insider content about 5-6 years ago."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

I also am a regular MMQB reader of Peter King's. He's been around forever and seems to have a great relationship with all of the NFL. Because of that, he seems to get tid bits of info that others are unable to get.Comment

I do enjoy reading Jayson Stark's articles. Especially the ones like these.
