    5555

I don't know if many of you guys have seen this...and there is no "good" time for a line of duty death...but it really hits hard around the holidays.

Chicago F.D. lost two of it's members today in a building collapse as a result of a fire.
It was a vacant structure, but of course, as usual, there were reports of numerous squatters in the building.....prompting a search.
I don't know if their deaths were a result of searching....or why they were in or around the building at the time of the collapse.
Here is the story with some video.
There is at least one more that is in very bad shape and might succumb to his injuries also.
My thoughts and prayers are with him....

R.I.P. to the two who made the Supreme Sacrifice.

This is always sad when one's lose their lives doing courageous and heroic deeds.

My thoughts and prayers are with their families, and all men and women who do dangerous public service, from the military to our firefighters.

This is always sad for me to read as my dad was a volunteer fire fighter for 25 years. RIP to the brave men who gave their life to protect others.

Terrible. Horrible time for a line of duty death. Like Knight, my father is also a NYC firefighter. It takes extreme courage for that job, and I respect anyone who is brave enough for the challenge.

The other two that were pulled from the collapse were upgraded to critical but stable yesterday.
Hopefully, they and the other nine guys recover fully.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for the brothers guys.
