    Need help finding a book

Remember reading this way back in middle school, the book is about a ship that a boy is on with his father, they ship wrecks on night because guys on land bait the boat in using lights and the boat thinks its safe to come in and it hits rocks. The boy's father is kidnapped, and he has to find him. Really wish I could remember the title but its been so long ago.

Do you remember the author's name? The publisher? The cover?

Nada on the author's name and publisher, couldve sworn the cover had a boat with lights on it but not sure, this was a good 7-8 years ago I read the book.

        Maybe try here?

Try google and search for book fourms, where people help others to find books.

Sadly, I know which book you're referring to, but it's been so long ago that I can't remember the name

Sorry to be no help, but it is a good book.

Deathwatch was my book I couldn't remember for the longest time from middle school, highly recommend that one if you guys haven't read it.

Wikipedia, I just googled ship wreckers, and read an article about people in the 19th century who would use lights to wreck ships, so I searched google for the word wreckers and it came up.
