Live on campus for a year. Nothing like that experience. And when I say live on campus, that doesn't mean go home every weekend. After 1st year, get your own spot, school becomes 10x cheaper and it's cheaper to pay rent + bills, rather than room and board.

Live in a dorm freshman year.

Then live in a house/apartment from there on out.

Only way to live the proper collegiate lifestyle. Home is for Thanksgiving and Christmas break.

I lived like 10 minutes away from UCLA so it made absolutely no sense to live on or near campus in an apartment or something. I have to say it definitely put a damper on the "college experience", but it was nice not having to deal with bull**** morons for roommates, etc
