Anyway, Doc, I got a commit from a 5-star QB in my Indiana dynasty. I'm pumped to see him play for my squad. I haven't had a QB yet with IU that's been rated above an 86(in year 6) and he should come in around an 82-83.

Bad thing is I lost to Auburn in week 2 so my national title shot is gone since I'm only ranked 17th despite my 7-1 record. Luckily my recruiting class looks to be my first top 25 class at IU so a national title is inevitable

My money is that Ryan did not merge these thread.

Yeah I've yet to win the NC or a Heisman, and I've only won one BigTen title.

I just won my first one 8 years into my dynasty. Shoulda won the Heisman 2 years ago but they snubbed my running back who broke Barry Sander' single season rushing record.

I'm not a fan of the "throwback" soft drinks PepsiCo is selling. They tasted watered down. The main reason to drink a Mountain Dew is the bite that goes with the citrus taste.

I'm drinking a "throwback" Dr. Pepper right now. The after taste is pretty bland and it's no where near as good as a regular Dr. Pepper.

No. I turned up the Human pass and run blocking to 60 and CPU interceptions down wither one notches or two

Speaking of this I finally had a great recruiting class last year with the 5th best in the nation. Still pissed that this 5 star QB I promised the world to (Number 1 qb in the nation, 5th best player) came in rated worse than the 4 star I signed. I seriously would have just let Penn State have him if I had known that.

This seriously reminds me how much I want a Coordinator - minor coach role in 12, along with a coaching carousel, it would be so freaking sweet. But I know that there's no way they'll ever implement something so awesome because the Devs hate us

Gotta watch the awareness grades. A guy with a D- or D awareness grade typically won't improve much over the 4 years with your school. For example(I track my recruits with a spreadsheet)..

Came in with an awareness of 76 and an overall of 73. I redshirt him, his awareness bumps to an 82 and overall to a 77. Now he's a redshirt junior with an awareness of 95 and an overall of 90. He owns every IU receiving record. On the flip side..

Pos: OLB
Awareness: D
Speed: B+
Acceleration: A-
Rating: * * * *(#3 OLB)

Came in as a 75. Awareness was a 59. After a redshirt year, he's a 76 OVR with an AWR of 60. He's a JR(RS) now and an 81 OVR and an AWR of 67. Huge bust. He'll probably top out at about an 85 OVR as a senior. IF Wheeler comes back, he'll be near a 95 or better.




I look for 2 things when recruiting..

1. Awareness(I prefer a C- or better)
2. Acceleration(I prefer a B or better)


My first year with IU I got a guy who ran a 4.30 forty. I was giddy. But I completely failed to notice his acceleration grade. His acceleration when he got on campus was a 72. His speed was a 95. Total fail on my part. I prefer a B+ acceleration over an A+ speed.
