    Awareness: C+
    Speed: B
    Accel: B-
    Rating: * * *(#57 WR)

Came in with an awareness of 76 and an overall of 73. I redshirt him, his awareness bumps to an 82 and overall to a 77. Now he's a redshirt junior with an awareness of 95 and an overall of 90. He owns every IU receiving record. On the flip side..

    Isaac Brunner
    Pos: OLB
    Awareness: D
    Speed: B+
    Acceleration: A-
    Rating: * * * *(#3 OLB)

Came in as a 75. Awareness was a 59. After a redshirt year, he's a 76 OVR with an AWR of 60. He's a JR(RS) now and an 81 OVR and an AWR of 67. Huge bust. He'll probably top out at about an 85 OVR as a senior. IF Wheeler comes back, he'll be near a 95 or better.

I look for 2 things when recruiting..

    1. Awareness(I prefer a C- or better)
    2. Acceleration(I prefer a B or better)

My first year with IU I got a guy who ran a 4.30 forty. I was giddy. But I completely failed to notice his acceleration grade. His acceleration when he got on campus was a 72. His speed was a 95. Total fail on my part. I prefer a B+ acceleration over an A+ speed.
That is one area he does have the other QB beat in, so we'll see. Right now though, he is severely lacking in the Accuracy and THP if the other guy. Has much more speed though, so we will see. I also always look at the acceleration of the skill players first.

It's a shame there is a great QB that wants to come to my school, but I'm really not in the market for a QB after last year. Guess Bama can have him.

You're correct Tim...instead of high fructose corn syrup they're made with natural cane sugar (hence the burn down isn't as big). This is what they used to taste like back in the 50s/60s before companies started subbing the corn syrup as a cheaper alternative.

I wish they would come out with a decent commercial promoting them though. Go back to the tickles your innards motto and get the hillbilly in the commerciail.

I tried Gatorade's tropical blend after weights in my continuing quest to find a worthy partner for Rain Berry. Results: yummy.

They're really going to do a push on Gatorade this year and from what I've seen the retail is pretty good (i.e. $1.25 for a 32oz Gatorade).

The mere switch from corn syrup to sugar takes away a lot of the bite? That doesn't seem right.

OK, so I'm playing Madden Steelers (me) @ Ravens and they have 4th & 5 on MY 18 yardline and they PUNTED!! WTF!!! Even funnier because the easy 35 yd FG would've given them the lead.

                          Re: Off Topic 2011

Had another great episode of "60 year old supervisor and 19 year old associate" at work today:

I had just clocked out and was talking to my one co-worker who was at the catalog desk. 19 year old associate was taking my spot in children's and was watching the shoe department as well. It's basically unwritten rule that if there's nobody working in shoes, the person in children's watches shoes and vice versa. These two people come over to the catalog desk and tell the guy working "Is there anyone that can help us in shoes? The kid over there was on his phone and then disappeared and went to the back". My co-worker is FUMING, so he pages 19 year old to his section. Literally 2 seconds later, 60 year old supervisor (who was on the other side of the store and didn't see any of what happened) calls back, and here's the conversation that ensued:

Supervisor: "Stop paging him to shoes, you're supposed to be watching it."
Co-worker: "Oh really, is that why he was standing over in shoes on his cell phone and ignored people?"
Supervisor: "He was probably on the phone with a customer"

Yes, he was on his cell phone with a customer. Brilliant logic. He always has excuses for this kid as to why he's not doing his job. A few months ago at the end of the night we were putting up signs for the doorbuster sale we were having the next morning. Naturally, the kid didn't do any of his, and not only that, but he dipped out at 9:00 on the dot. The rest of us? Stuck there until 9:30 doing the **** he was supposed to have done. So I confront my supervisor about it:

Me: "So you're just gonna make us do his work for him and let him go whenever he wants?"
Supervisor: "Well, he probably didn't know he had to do them"
Me: "Alright, then why not make him stay and do them?"
Supervisor: "He had a hair appointment"

A hair appointment....a ****ing hair appointment at 9:00 at night. Give me a break.

A couple of my co-workers called corporate last week, and you can tell something was said to my store manager because they've been acting weird, but nothing has changed. The people that reported the problems have to follow up on Monday with the people they called, so I'm curious to see how that goes. If you're going to show favoritism, don't do it in such a blatant way, and PLEASE give us a store manager that has a spine and resolves issues in ways other than cutting hours out of spite.
