Re: Off Topic 2011
Zombie Apocalypse has begun...
Leicester is set to face a zombie "attack" after the city council admitted it was unprepared for an invasion of the undead.
SpoilerZombie enthusiasts plan to 'attack' Leicester
James Dixon, 26, had the idea after a "concerned citizen" used a Freedom of Information request to ask how the council would tackle a zombie attack.
He said Saturday's event - organised on Facebook - was initially just a way to catch up with a few friends.
A small horde of almost 200 "zombies" is now expected to descend on the city.
The story that a member of the public had raised concerns about Leicester's "zombie readiness" became a hit on social networking sites.
The Freedom of Information request stated: "Having watched several films it is clear that preparation for such an event is poor and one that councils throughout the kingdom must prepare for."
'After-apocalypse party'
Mr Dixon said: "I saw the story trending on Twitter and thought it was really funny that someone had FOI'd that information, and that the council had taken in it a quite a good-humoured way.
"I jokingly tweeted that this is our chance to attack, which was quite well received."
Leicester City Council has not commented about how it will cope with the arrival of several dozen shuffling undead.
Its head of information governance Lynn Wyeth said last week that the original Freedom of Information [FOI] request had made them laugh.
"Everybody has their own interests and their own reasons for asking these questions," she said.
Mr Dixon said he had put some serious thought into the organisation of the event, which has a "strictly zombie" dress code and is likely to be followed by an "after-apocalypse" party.
"There's a pub that has offered the zombies refuge after our 'attack', so we'll probably do that," he said.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
Short people aren't sad, they just suffer from low self esteem, same way with fat people and people who wear thick glasses. Not all of them, but a good number of them.
The reason being is because of the media brainwashing that constantly bombard people with what the definition of good looking is.
That if you are a guy, in order to be a real man you have to be over 6ft tall with a 6 pack stomach and don't wear glasses.
If you are a woman you have to be light skinned, blonde hair and a size 6 or smaller. And once again don't wear glasses.
I mean when is the last time you walked into a bank or in the lobby of a business and seen a fat woman behind the counter at the front desk ?
When is the last time you seen a singer actually wear their glasses and not contacts ? Got to the point now most people in society when they hit high school and college are embarrassed to wear glasses and quickly run to get contacts just for they can "fit in".
Then you have people who bleach their skin just for they can "fit in" with what the media says is beautiful. Or you will get celebrities have their photos air brushed for they can look lighter then what they really are.
Then you have women who dye their hair blonde just for they can fit in. Women adding 2 feet of fake hair to their head just for they can fit in. People changing their eye color........
The media has messed society up. Now the world is full of pretenders just for they can feel accepted.Comment

Yeah I was actually thinking after I got back from Disney, how I miss being a little kid cause you didn't have a care in the world other then what was for dinner or what movie to watch. No one cared how you look, what you did,etc besides your parents really lol.
Now with all the media and being older it's hard to still be like thatSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
