Just received some disturbing news this morning from my mother. Late last night my cousin was stabbed 12 times in her driveway by an ex coworker. They had worked together at a local market before she began college at URI this year. He had an unhealthy obsession with her which caused her to file a restraining order against him.

During Christmas break he had slashed her tires and was arrested for that. That was the last time he had caused any kind of incident or tried to contact her.

He fractured her left arm , stabbed her in her right side four times , right twice , chest five , and her spine once. Shes in stable condition but the doctors are worried about the stabbing to the spine.

He was arrested last night by the state police and is currently in prison. Which is good news. Waiting for my mother to get to my house so we can go to the hospital together. There are some sick and disturbing people in the world.

She is in my thoughts and prayers. I hope she makes a full recovery and that piece of **** gets all that the law allows.

Trust us Midwest guys. Being hot is way better then being cold. -20 with wind chill is 10 times worse then 100 with humidity.

I have to disagree, if I had to choose between Minnesota in winter or Kentucky in summer I'd take winter every time.

I grew up in Louisiana and FL sooo i've grown accustomed to be 100 degree summers and what not, can't stand anything below 50 degrees but I do look forward to it just cause it's change

Man, I hope you cousin makes a full recovery and that guy gets everything he deserves.

I will take hot weather over cold. Mosquitoes don't bother me really. I can go out with others and they'll all get eaten alive by them and I will have maybe 2-3 bites. Mosquitoes just aren't attracted to me. Plus I can walk through and bunch of bushes and not have any reactions at all. Poison ivy or anything else out there won't affect me.

I was built for southern life outdoors I guess. I don't mind sweating the instant I step outside, I don't mind the muggy, humid air, bugs don't bother me too much, and no flower allergies here. Also, I've only been stung by a bee twice in my life. Once as a tiny kid and I don't even remember that and once in elementary school. Other than that me and the bee population are cool.

So my mom told me that a guy from my graduating class brutally killed his mom and sister. I guessed who it was with my first guess and I'm not really surprised. The guy always gave me the creeps growing up, never felt comfortable around him.

Real shame, his mom was a long-time police officer and his sister was one of the better plays for the school, just graduated and had a full scholarship to college.

It was just one of them that was causing problems. He just kept flipping out on me at random times and said some things to me that you should never say to anybody, much less one of your best friends.

That's pretty much what I did...deleted him off of Facebook, etc. He's one of the "gains self confidence by cutting down other people" people...the quicker I get that out of my life, the better.
