Senior year of HS was cake. My 2nd semester class began at 7:50 and I got to leave everyday at 11:20. Kind of gets you used to the college routine.

Re: Off Topic 2011
Our day started at 7:35 AM to 2:10 PM. Our lunch period was 2 hours, I believe, 30 minutes apiece (4 different lunches). So if you had 1st lunch, then you had like an hour and a half of class, then final period. Last lunch meant an hour and a half of class, then lunch, then final period. So those were beat, though the gym-type classes had last lunch so they weren't too bad.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Off Topic 2011
Wow, that's early. During the winter it would've still been dark when you went to school and started 1st period. My highschool was actually a middle/high school (6-12) 6-8 grade the day went from 8:15-2:52 and there were 7 periods with lunch being during 4th period. Starting in 9th grade the school day was changed to go from 8:05-2:56 and was divided into 8 periods with lunch being 5th period. I know that they have since changed it again, but I don't know the current setup.
Wow that's a solid set-up for high school. I didn't get a schedule like that until college.
We went from 7:20 to 2:20 with a 30 minute lunch break. Unfortunately for all 4 years of high school I managed to get 1st lunch (out of 3), which started at 10:20. I was never hungry during lunch, but I had to force myself to eat because we couldn't eat in class. I always felt miserable afterward.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

That **** was always the worst. Spring was so nice when you were walking to the bus stop or driving to school and it was light out. Always had me in such a better mood instead of a cold ***, dark morning.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Off Topic 2011
In HS, my day starts at 8:15 and doesn't end till 3:15.
Last year I had 3rd lunch which was from 11:57 (when you're dismissed from class) to 12:20 when you have to be in 5th. So we always had like 15 minutes for lunch. and when your class was called last for lunch, you got like 5 minutes. It had to be illegal somehow.HoosiersPacersPhilliesRavens

Re: Off Topic 2011
High school for me....
7:45am to 3:45pm, all 4 years.
I didn't drive in high school at all. Therefore I took a bus, 2 subway trains and walked 8 blocks. Took me an hour to get to school in the morning and 2 hours to get home, because by the time my school let out, it was the beginning of rush hour.
Therefore all the subway trains were over crowded and took longer.
But I remember it like it was yesterday. Took the #85 Central Ave bus to Lake Street. Got on the Green Line and took it to State & Lake, got on the Red Line and took it all the way to the northside of Chicago to Loyola. Then walked from there all the way to Bosworth, which a bock before Ashland St.
Winter months was the worse because those 8 blocks were never shoveled or salted. Wow and to think that was 15 years ago.Comment

IIRC for me during high school it was 8:15-3:30.
Anyways just finished the bit of moving today. I can't believe how much a family of 5 adults can collect so much junk over the years! Anyways tomorrow evening I pack up my PC, TV and X360.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
