Long story short, I was trying to drop into a half pipe at a skatepark, which probably wasn't a good idea considering it was my 4th or 5th time I've ever been skateboarding before.

Any doctors on here or someone who's broken a rib before know how to tell? Neither hurt immediately after the fall, probably because of the adrenaline and my back hurting so much, plus I couldn't breathe for a minute or two. When I woke up today it was sore and moving my right arm makes it hurt. The weird thing is I have pain in my left side when breathing, but my right side is the one that hurts to touch.

If one of your ribs was broken, you would know because it would hurt like hell with every breath you took. So it might just be bruised. Either way just go to the doctor and have yourself checked out. Don't want to mess around with damaged ribs.

Quick question, which would be worse, your best friend moving 700 miles away or being perma-banned from OS?

Neither......since you can still read stuff on OS without an account. And I have moved around so many times in my life, I don't get that attached to friends.

Yeah hopefully it's only bruised, I don't wanna spend a month or two rehabbing it. I'll probably go to the doctor sometime this week if the pain gets any worse.

I'd go soon if you can. I've broken a couple of ribs before and waited before I went to the doctor. Apparently I hurt them worse by waiting and it took about 3 months before I could be active again

Girl I know posts pictures of her cat dressed up in some sort of dress on Facebook. Cat has a "I'm going to f'n kill someone" look on its face. I feel bad for animals that are dressed up by their owners...

Having your best friend move 700 miles away IMO. But then again my best friend just deployed pretty recently so he's overseas. It's only a year though, so it's not like it's the end of the world. Known him my whole life. Me, him and my brother have all been best friends all our lives. Sucks because while I have other friends (some decent, some just once in a while hang out), I'd rather hang out with him any day of the week. My brother also lives 3 hours away now too.

Like it was said, I could still read OS (minus this forum) if I still wanted. I could easily move on, even though I think this is an absolute great site.

This is why it sucks to have a passive personality...

I've been planning to buy a Blazer from the friend that moved away (well technically she doesn't leave til 6am) and today was the day. She had a new radiator put in, and today a new fuel pump as well. The guy who did the work drove the Blazer to where my friend has been staying and dropped it off. We met up with him at the house and he asked us how we didn't notice the knocking sound.

We're like what knocking sound? He couldn't believe we didn't know what he was talking about. So we get in it to drive on and go about our busy day and sure enough there is a really bad banging noise that kept happening, mostly when accelerating. We told him this is not how it sounded before, and brought it back to the house. He drove it back down to his shop to have another look.

Dude calls back an hour later and says that it was in 4WD, and we really shouldn't be driving like that unless it's on snow or ice. We were like huh? We didn't have it in 4wd. That's when it hit us. When he adjusted the steering wheel height, he must've bumped the the 4wd button. Guy drove it on the highway over. Seriously. He said it ran just fine in 2wd but 4wd is messed up. This guy probably just caused some serious damage to the vehicle I JUST bought and because of the passive personality I'm just like "oh I guess I'll only drive in 2wd"

You should have pulled off your white glove and slapped him in the face; proceeding with a duel challenging where you would have killed him. Too bad you went all passive on him.

lol he actually moved down here before 6th grade, moved before his junior year. Wore shorts/went shirtless in the wintertime when I was wear 2 layers. but the rest of the year they were miserable. What's worse is they brough their Siberian Huskie, so their floor was constantly covered in dog hair
