I don't think you have to go in that situation.. It is terrible that she lost her child though, a mother losing a child is always REALLY tough for them. If you have the time, you should probably stop by.

I'll play.
Changing the topic to a more serious note....
What are your guys opinions on going to a co-workers family members funeral/visitation. I think that if you've worked with that co-worker for years and are close with them than you're somewhat obligated to go.
However, in my current situation we have a 21 year old girl who's been working with us for about 2-3 months and her 3 year old son just passed away. I've never met her son and have barley spoke to her except the occasional "good morning". I also, think that there's a pretty big chance that she won't return to work after all of this. I know everyone hates this kind of stuff but, I don't know if I want to put myself through all of that for someone that I don't even really know. What do you guys think? Am I just be selfish or is this a normal feeling?PSN: buckeye02Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I tried to remove my sadness playing basketball at the club I go but it made me feel worse. I missed every shot, slipped the ball through my hands many times, couldn't catch the ball. So instead of being sad I got angry and left inmediately after the game. Luckly several episodes of How I Met Your Mother made me feel better and now I'll wait for Monday when I can check my exam to see what I did wrong.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I'm not a parent but, going to a baby's funeral is really hard from me. It makes me really miss my nieces and nephews. I only get to see them about once a year and I've been thinking about them a lot all week. I've also been thinking about the Mom a lot. She's a really sweet girl and I can't even begin to imagine what's she's been going through. That's another reason I don't know if I want to have kid's. Because if something happened to them I would be completely crushed. It's just a sad situation and part of me thinks I should go but, there's another part that almost feels like we'd be intruding a little bit.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
