Re: Off Topic 2011
That's my limit lol. My high school thought it would be cool to give us algebra 1 on a computer my freshman year. I found out how to trick the program to giving me the answers. I got an A in the class but never learned anything. I don't really know math past basic pre algebra. That program was scrapped the next year.
My HS algebra 2 class gave us multiple choice tests and quizzes. Not a good idea. My teacher (her first year teaching) asked me how I kept getting perfect scores, I showed her that her questions can be done by putting each multiple choice answer back into the equation one by one until the equation made sense. The "Aww, ****" look on her face was priceless.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I loved multiple choice tests in math, used to get one every few weeks in my Algebra 2 class sophomore year just to help our grades. Then I got to pre calc the next year and yeah multiple choices still didn't help my grade at all in fact it just made me feel more stupid as I liked just leaving a problem blank and moving on.
There were several times where I just wrote my name on a test in Pre Calc and then just handed it in, how I got a C each year is beyond me. Hated that class and the teacherSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I don't understand why ESPN posts random people's tweets. Who gives a **** what e_money31 thinks about Jim Thome?

Good one!
My HS algebra 2 class gave us multiple choice tests and quizzes. Not a good idea. My teacher (her first year teaching) asked me how I kept getting perfect scores, I showed her that her questions can be done by putting each multiple choice answer back into the equation one by one until the equation made sense. The "Aww, ****" look on her face was priceless. At least you were honest with her. What happened after you 'enlightened' her?
Yeah, I would think that'd produce some disgusting images. Chocolate flavored cottage chees in and of itsef doesn't sound very appetizing to me either.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Cowboy fans have retaken the lead for my most hated fanbase. IDK how the Eagles and their dream team slipped up. Oh right because its a new season and the Cowboy fan's delusional cool-aid has been delivered to their homes by Jerry Jones for the upcoming season.

Being a White Sox fan in Chicago I can't stand the majority of Cubs fans. My friend was trying to convince me that Carlos Zambrano is one of the top pitchers in the National League yesterday..Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

This was immediately before finals, so she said the exam was already printed and ready to go... We joked that it would be considered a failure if I didn't get a perfect score for the final. The following year, I found out she had switched the question types to mostly T/F and Fill-ins for her new class. That's what I call making a difference.Comment

My dentist warned me this could happen if I didn't shape up after my last visit. So I'm crazy now about my hygiene. I'm not brushing a million times a day, but I wasn't flossing or regularly using mouth wash.
My teeth look great on the outside, but deep down they had minor issues because I neglected the extra stuff. Not letting that happen anymore."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

You know I was thinking about this the entire time but didn't want to post anything, but yes she was. I've pretty much had hot math teachers throughout my junior high and high school years, except for my senior year in which my teacher was a guy (and he looked like Ray Romano.)Comment
