2011 started out pretty good for me. Finished my Master's degree, accomplished a lot academically. But I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a job now, and I'm getting the feeling that the nearly $80,000 in debt I've accrued wasn't worth the piece of paper I got.

I'm probably going to have to take a job that was similar to the one I got right out of undergrad and hated. But I'm almost out of money and I have bills to pay, so I desperately need income.

2011...meh. The only two good things that happened were my 21st birthday and starting to talk to my old best friend again. Everything else has been turrible.

Unfortunately no it doesn't but at least football is starting so you always have that.

2011 has been a lot better than 2010 and and hell of a lot better than 2009 for me. I graduated in December 2010, found a job, been saving up money, lost about 40 pounds, chugging along on the guitar and finally ready to get my life going. The only bad thing about 2011 has been this ridiculous economy and sucking the value of any money I can actually save.

On a semi-related note, the "blind wedding date" isn't so blind anymore. I met up with the girl at Starbucks last night and I must admit she puts my last serious ex to shame. Aside from her showing up late (which by the way she was dressed, looked like she had spent that time getting ready), everything went about as good as a "first meeting" can go.

I just installed an internet filter extension for Chrome that blocks access to certain websites.

And then added the Madden and NCAA forums to it.

And then made it a pain in the *** to get to so I won't be tempted to just shut it off if I feel the urge to visit those sections.
