Re: Off Topic 2011
I think he's saying that the game was amazing without the ability to be patched, which is pretty damn impressive.
Has anyone else listened to 'Success is Certain'? It's Royce Da 5'9"'s new album.. It's pretty good.Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

This morning while driving to work I was listening to mike and mike in the morning and they were talking fantasy football draft. A caller says the following, " I'm picking out of the A hole". That is all......Battle.net: xXKING08Xx

Re: Off Topic 2011
After work I'm meeting my friend for dinner at a Japanese steak house (hells yes). This is the same friend who hooked me into the wedding blind-date thing. I was looking forward to some summarizing the events, especially since I can actually get a woman's perspective on it, but alas I don't think that's going to happen. Apparently my friend invited another girl she works with to join us for dinner. Admittedly, this girl is rather cute; however, our mutual connection (apart from my friend) is wedding/salsa girl as they are not only friends, but also work and go to church together.
I need out of this damned circle, but I find all this hilarious nonetheless.

Re: Off Topic 2011
I still don't get why Sony removed backwards compatibility for PS2 from PS3 models beyond the first run (while at least some origianl PS games can still be played on it)

Re: Off Topic 2011
Yes, but remember that game still had its glitches and the expectation vs. reality is much lower in that type of game.
The idea that games in general are somehow more bug-filled and less fun now because the ability to patch is false IMO. It's the expectations that have risen. Not the ability and motivation of game programmers decreasing.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I don't know. I don't think developers (and this is purely from playing experience, not actual data) test the games as thoroughly as before because they can rely on DLC patches and updates.

Re: Off Topic 2011
As gamers grow older and more experienced along with the advances in tech we get less forgiving about hiccups than when we were younger and more oblivious.
But do feel that devs rely on patches way too heavily. Looking at you Bethesda...Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I think what the glitch/bug is is a factor, as well. I mean, I can put up with texture pop-in or some funky RPG glitch more so than not being able to play games in Road to Glory.
