The only reason I even go by my old high school is because the county board decided it'd be a good idea to build it three minutes from my childhood house.

I do have a few fond memories, but by-and-large I've moved on.

Well, I graduated last year, still know 3/4 of the current student population, know ALL of the students who are vocal at the games, and I played with the current seniors for 3 years. So no, it's not really weird.

But then again, Watson is your stereotypical one stoplight town and going to the games on Friday (err, Thursday) are what people do.

Besides, there's a girl involved. I imagine after tonight (probably the last time I can go to a game) I will be done with Live Oak for a while, unless this girl proves to be relationship material and I get dragged back to prom

People get it twisted. You're "liking" the fact that a person acknowledged a person's death. Not the comment itself.

We have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night/evening games up here. A lot of teams shares stadiums. Luckily my high school didn't so home games were always Fridays unless it was during the playoffs.

Same here, though the area I'm in is probably bigger than where you live so its slightly less popular, but a lot of people still go.

Only if that person died that day. Not really weird, but it makes it seem like they enjoy the death. If its a past death, I think they are just recognizing someone's recognition of the death.

Side effect of wishing ill on the people that comprised our teams.

Yeah, I understand the sentiment. Still seems weird to me for some reason. Maybe facebook should come up with something other than "like" so you can acknowledge someone's thought, without liking it or having to comment

Same here. Mostly Thursday/Friday games, but we have the occasional Saturday game.
