While Woods wouldn't be a winner on this day, he still managed a decent round of 68 with occasional red-hot stretches. His drives had plenty of mustard on them, but all too often he wasn't even in the same ballpark as the fairway, making it exceedingly difficult for Woods to catch up with the leaders. Still, he clearly relished being out on the course again for the first time since the PGA Championship, where he had an embarrassing missed cut in one of his worst outings as a pro. His week was far more kosher this time around; he finished tied for 30th, which, to be frank, is a lot better than we would have expected given his long layoff from golf. And the packs of fans' reception for Woods was anything but chilly; Woods' appearance reportedly tripled ticket sales for the Frys, as many fans never saw such a star make an appearance at the Fall Series event.


Woods will now play several exhibition rounds in Asia and Australia teeing off in November as part of the United States delegation for the Presidents Cup, where we presume he won't be — wait for it — hot-dogging it. (Sorry. So sorry.)

Random thoughts....

Not having to work on Monday is great. Went to the bank this morning and there was no line. Only down side is there are old people everywhere.

Watching ESPN First Take for the first time in a long time. My god has this show become awful. They have debated the Eagles 5 times , Tebow 3 times , Patriots 2 times , and Jets 3 times.

Had a fun weekend with girl I've been talking to. Have to give her credit for sitting through 3 football games. She graded papers throughout the Packers/Falcons game , but at least pretended to be interested during the early games.

Jay Electronica is releasing a new song today. Excited about that and wish the guy would stop being lazy. Releasing 3-4 songs a year isn't cutting it my man.

So my internet connection decides to go "limited" (aka useless) randomly.

We thought we fixed it about 2-3 months ago by making sure the cable into the modem was thoroughly screwed in. We took a wrench to that bitch.

Worked well until a few weeks ago. This morning it went limited for no reason, I'm the only one home, no one's messing with it, my laptop and ethernet cable is all steady (not in bed... it comes out frequently when I take it to bed... SEXY).

Might have something to do with my brother possibly messing with the settings due to him getting a 3DS. I'll have to ask him.

Still, I don't want to pay for this **** if it doesn't work when I need it. Needed to figure out some school **** and couldn't when I wanted to. It's back now... but for how long? I'll be surprised if I can get this post through.

I like how people start off a complaint with:

I have been a fan or gamer since "THIS YEAR RIGHT HERE" but I don't like this and that.

It is as though putting a year up of how long you been doing something or liking something gives your complaining post more credibility.

Starting to see more and more posts started off like that on OS lately.
