Almost got in a fight with some **** at Jimmy Johns tonight smfh. I don't even drink and this dude was wasted. Like half passed out wasted. But for some reason I'm with my friends and he thought it'd be a good idea to invade my personal space. Started leaning on me and ish, I thought he was just playing at first cuz he was smiling. Then he started trynna push me out of my spot where I was standing and I put my forearm in his chest and he started leaning real hard. Stepped away and he almost fell. Took my spot back but this peterpuffer started leaning in my face again smiling (dude's like 6'4, I'm 5'9). So I kept pushing him away but he wouldn't stop and then one of my friends got in the middle of us.

What is the law like on fighting? That's the main reason I didn't swing at him, I was afraid of the consequences. I don't think he would have taken the first shot, it looked like he was just into instigating. But I probably would have beat the stuffing out of him cuz of how drunk he was.

Could I catch an assault charge if I beat the hell out of a guy who was probably beyond the legal intoxication limit? Most of the people in there prolly woulda took my side. I'm one that's not easily provoked but I about snapped, been a ****ty day/week/month/year/decade.

I can completely picture your situation. JJ is a haven for drunk people after a certain time. You have to be the bigger man until they place an actual attacking move on you. If guy's gonna be a drunk dick, whatever. Not worth the assault charge or worse if your one punch seriously injures or kills him.

Last night I was so pissed of after playing some basketball games at the club I go. I was playing as usual with some friends and some other people and because I went for a steal and boxed out for a rebound some guy (40+ years old) got angry because he said I was playing "too aggressively". I tried to not lose my temper and did what I could do best, play D, rebound and huslte. Then he was calling some phantom calls on me like fouls and traveling, using elbows on rebound and some other guy on his team (30+ years old) was doing layups with handoffs towards me. I didn't say a thing because I'm more of a laid back person who doesn't make many calls while playing and don't care much about the score, but I was furious on the inside. On top of this, they won the game with a layup with a handoff by the same guy that did the same all game. I called a foul but he said something like "The ball was in so it doesn't matter", then I lost it and kicked the ball as hard as I could. Just because they're the oldest guys and I don't say much doesn't mean that I can't get any respect and what I say is irrelevant. Sometimes I believe people take advantage that I try to be a nice guy and do whatever they want.

That sucks, dude. That's a big reason why I don't go out to bars much at all. People are liable to get reckless at any point, and it's not worth the trouble. Or the money. Or the experience, really. Or having to drive home. My friends call me lame every now and then for declining to go out, but **** it. I'm not out to please them.

In other news I finally made it under 210. Weighed in today at 209 3/4. Took me 11 months. Getting old sucks.

I'm going to my local taco shop and ordering this to celebrate.



It's going to set me back a week but f it, it's soooo worth it. Best damn burrito in my area. Been waiting months to get one!

Don't hide your feelings. Show people that you have a problem with them. There is no point in keeping it all inside. And it, as you said, pushes people to take advantage of you.
