Computer keeps crashing, have no idea what it could be. It boots up and I have about 20 minutes of it running before it crashes.

Sounds like one of your RAM memory sticks has died or your Windows operating system is corrupted. Go to into the BIOS and run a memory test and hard drive test while you are at it. The hard drive test is going to take hours.

If both past, then your Windows operating system is corrupted and you will have to install it again. Because eventually what will happen is it is going to get to the point your PC won't boot up at all.

Anyone heard of the 'privacy protection virus' ?

I woke up this morning to turn on my laptop and it kept popping up a few different windows informing me that I had some critical viruses and my firewall was unprotected (I knew this was garbage).. and I couldn't open any program or any process. I did some research on my mom's computer and found that it's a hoax program, trying to swindle people into 'purchasing' their security program. When really, they are just taking everyone's personal information and credit card information. The virus is really smart, it disguises itself, to keep from being found or detected.

I had to go to control panel and change some folder options, to unhide it.. find it's route source and change the folder name, which rendered it useless... restart my computer and then come back in and delete it.

Very tricky stuff and I'm sure the average person would either never figure it out, pay someone to restore their computer, or give in and get their identification stolen..

Yeah I heard it was getting passed around on Facebook 2 weeks ago.

Had this on my laptop about a week ago. Turned the computer off manually and booted back up in safe mode. Shut it down properly within safe mode and booted it back up in regular operating mode and haven't had any problems since.

And the Wild are tied atop the Western Conference, so there's that too. But they're not in Wisconsin, obviously.

I'm not sure I quite like the Wild being shown on TV in Wisconsin. Wisconsin people despise all things Minnesota sports, oh except for the Wild - when they're kind of good. Doesn't quite smell right.

Meh. We appear to be more of a Blackhawks/Red Wings state, as far as I can tell.

You should see the hockey gear selection at the local sporting goods places. Blackhawks and Red Wings shirts/hats/jerseys in every size and design imaginable, and then like one stray Wild shirt in the corner.

Hell, there's more Penguins **** available than there is Wild. It saddens me.

Also, I chalk it up as a giant coincidence that they're good when I start caring. I don't think their record was even anything remarkable when I started watching. Then they ripped off 5 in a row (twice).

My Aunt apparently has a hook-up for cheap Wisconsin hockey tickets, so this might not take as much convincing as you think, if I can eventually find my way down to the Kohl Center for a game or two.

I just have to find the time to actually watch them once.
