I'm on season 4 and usually watch it during lunch at work. The last episode I watched was the episode where Kevin loses his ID bracelet at another girl's house while they were making chocolate mousse for French class.

"those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it" - George Santayana (actually it's a very slight misquotation)
That's what I say when people groan about history or are truly ignorant to it. It might seem creaky and boring to some but to me and to others it's a very vibrant area of study. I'm basically a Germany 1920s-end of WWII person but I also love studying US political history.
Anywho, today my aunt and I had to take my mother for some blood tests and such so i've been out all morning/early afternoon.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Off Topic 2011
I think people dislike history because you're taught the same damn thing every year in school. Plus, they white-wash everything and clean it up to make it more of a myth than what really happened.
The best book you can buy is Lies My History Teacher Told Me. Great book.

Re: Off Topic 2011
I never hated history. If anything, I'm indifferent. I understand it's important to learn about, and I've been able to identify issues with similar historical happenings, but I never gravitated to it. Now, computers? Whole different story."those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it" - George Santayana (actually it's a very slight misquotation)

Re: Off Topic 2011
I've been sort of restless all afternoon since I have a phone interview at 4:30. Can't say I've been this nervous for a phone screening before, but this is the first job relevant to what I want to do for a career that I've interviewed for in a while. I really want to do well and get a chance at an on-site interview.Patriots

Re: Off Topic 2011
The best history class I ever had was the AP histroy class I took in 11th grade. We used a book that didn;t just pain the "these guys are good, these guys are bad" picture that most do. It also talked about a lot more things that are never mentioned in many history classes. I still only got a C in that class because I refused to devote my time to doing my own vocab definitions, but the class was easily the most interesting history class I've taken nonetheless.I think people dislike history because you're taught the same damn thing every year in school. Re: Off Topic 2011
I've always liked history, moreso the last few centuries then old Greek and Roman history or the like because it's less relevant to us, today. But I totally gt othat vibe that one side is good, and one side is bad. I don't think that's a good thing at all to paint that picture, but that's what they teach in school.I think people dislike history because you're taught the same damn thing every year in school. I'll have to look into that book.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Still looking for an understandable reason why Algebra and higher math classes are offered and/or required. (Outside of it benefiting a certain profession)
