The making of the pasta salad wasn't the bad part. I just get a couple boxes of Classic Suddenly Salad and add cubed pepper jack, fresh broccoli, and pepperoni. It takes about 20 minutes tops.

What sucked was having to make a separate trip to the grocery store in the most dense fog you can imagine. Add to that having to stop and get gas and it was about a $60 trip when I thought I was just going to relax and watch the Wild.

After 4 hours and 2 attempts at it, I've finally restored my computer to factory settings.

Tomorrow I'll test to see if it worked and if it did I'll start installing the essentials.

Blerg, the worst part is I lost some key bookmarks.

I wish I could find a tutorial on restoring mine to factory settings. It's been acting so buggy lately. It's leaps and bounds better than my desktop, but some little loading issues here and there are aggravating me.

It's in the control panel, recovery, then it should give you an option to restore to a specific date or back to default settings.

Starting to have second thoughts about my major...not because I don't want to do it, but I'm concerned about the money. I want to be able to live comfortably and have nice things and not go paycheck to paycheck, and if my friends organize a trip to Vegas or a golf trip or something, I want to be able to go instead of being that guy who can't because I don't have enough money.

Don't matter what major you choose, unless you got some work experience in the field of your major, you not going to be making some big bucks straight out of college.

Welcome to reality for 2011 and the next several years. I mean sure everybody would want to graduate college and land a $65K job. But the days of that are long gone.

If you can get a job making $30K a year with no experience in your field, consider yourself lucky. I feel sorry for all you who just now about to graduate college in the next couple of years.

You guys are going up against people with masters and PHDs WITH 6 years or more experience in their field. Tough times, but keep on keeping on.

                      JJLinn usually ends it though.

My thought usually turns to "Well, it could be worse, my mom could be suing me."

Well, I knocked out over 2/3 of it tonight in just a couple of hours and will easily have it all finished over the next two nights, possibly tomorrow night depending on how much time I get with the gal pal.

I hate the stress procrastinating leads to, but I love that feeling of accomplishment I have right now where I know I am going to finish this thing in 2-3 days and it will be in better quality than the majority of the other students'.
I have the rather annoying habit of grossly underestimating how long it will take me to do things.

My best friend wrote on his GF's wall a "sweet" message that joked about them feeling like it's been 50 years since being with her was so stressful(he's sarcastic like me and it was a joke). I commented saying "You think xxx is stressful" hinting at my GF being more stressful. Then she said' I know right, I'm an angel." I came back with' "If you're an angel, you must be Lucifer...."

I thought it was funny... too bad I put angle and not angel in my original response.

My take: worry about what you want to do first, and figure out how you can make money doing that second.

I suppose that's easier for me to say because what I want to do and a way to make money doing it lined up rather easily, but my point is one shouldn't focus on the money foremost. You're going to spend a ton of your life working, you might as well be doing something you enjoy.

If someone offers me $30K out of college I'll laugh so hard I'll probably end up in the hospital.

Right now it's Surgical Technology. I've gone from:

                              Sports Management
                              Business
                              Nursing

to this. From what I've gathered the average salary is anywhere from $35-50k, which is fine, I just don't know if that is enough to support yourself and live comfortably...especially if I move to a bigger city. And I don't see how there's much room for growth because the major is pretty specific.

It's not even really about your' total salary.

People have lived and become richer, while making far less money. You have to make the right investments and be smart with your' money early on.

I agree about doing what you enjoy, rather than what pays the most.

I love money too and I'm set to be bringing in a decent salary, within the next few years, but it's also something I'm interested in doing.
