Re: Off Topic 2011
IT manager - main job, work from home 99% of the time. However due to I have to interact with the offices in Japan and London, I have to be up monitoring the network at 12am to 5am sometimes. Plus I am always on call.
So really my PC be on all day and I sit either in front of it or around it 24/7.
Stuff on do on my own because I like to do it and did it before far as an actual main job:
Animator
Game designer
Normally I use Maya 3D, Autodesk or Blender, make characters and sale them on Second Life. Or I will make animated avatars for different companies websites.
If I am bored enough, make games for Xbox Live Arcade
OR
Write programs just for the hell of it.
Like for example...........did you know you can use an Xbox 360 Kinect, connect it to your PC and MoCap with it ?
Don't need no balls no suits........Just a kinect, PC and the animation software for it. I have my own poor mans Mocap studio.
I also write a lot.Comment

Spoiler
I saw the guy flagging me down. He looked like someone I worked with (I don't know a lot of the guys that work in the warehouse I do b/c a lot of them are temp. help so it is a revolving door. But somehow they all know me). So, I pulled over to let him in. I ask "Do you need a ride to work?". His response... "Yeah". Next thing I know, this cat has thrown muffler parts in the back seat of my wife's car (mine has broke down), a bag full of clothes, and smoking a cig in there (we don't smoke). He was not the guy that I thought he was, and I didn't recognize this until he was halfway in the passenger seat and started asking questions down the road.
He tells me to drop him off @ the store halfway up the highway, all along while talking about he's on disability and he and his wife are in a love triangle with some other dude. DISABILITY. What happened to ride to work? Muffler parts are for his truck that has broke down "@ the store".
I rarely speed, and if I do, no more than 5 over. Speed limit is 55 all the way. I'm doing 75 all the way to the store to get this guy out ASAP, and clutching a knife in my coat pocket, just in case I catch any quick movements.
Get to the store, and guess what...
"Turn up this road and my wife lives on this road. That's where my truck is."
That's where he got out, not at his wife's, but on the side of the road of the highway. I ain't falling for that where it's isolated and he try something. I'm running a little late for work any way, and he has got to go.
Long story short... I found out 2 months ago that I need glasses severely, but have just been procrastinating it (car problems, upcoming baby, etc.) I will be wearing my new glasses Monday.

Cam speaks the truth.
IN JUST ONE FULL SEASON as an FBS starter, the 6'5", 248-pound Newton won the 2011 BCS national championship and the Heisman Trophy while pulling off the stunning combo of leading the SEC in rushing and finishing second in the NCAA in passing efficiency. Scouts and draft experts, however, focused on Newton's lack of experience, the allegations that he'd transferred to Blinn College after two years at Florida to avoid academic expulsion for cheating or that his family was paid for him to attend Auburn. On many boards, he was ranked the second-best quarterback in the draft, behind Blaine Gabbert. NFL Network analyst Joe Theismann wasn't even sure whether the Auburn star was worthy of a first-round pick. The reviews were so harsh that Newton's mentor, Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon, wondered whether they were fueled by racism. "But I can't sit up here and look at it like, oh man, my critics are racist," Newton says. "I blame JaMarcus Russell and to some degree Vince Young. If you have the opportunity to make that kind of money doing something you love to do, why would you screw it up? I'm trying to be a trailblazer. If Baylor's Robert Griffin decides to come out, I want people to say 'He can be the next Cam Newton' instead of 'He's gonna be the next JaMarcus Russell.'"Originally posted by J. Andy Serkis is ****in' brilliant - that is all.
Always enjoy watching bonus/behind the scenes footage of movies but seeing what Andy did (playing the role of Caesar in Planet of the Apes) just blew my mind.
