I think it'd be impossible to live a happy life with a family of four in Massachusetts with only 70k as the yearly income. Could people do it? Yes, but I think there'd be some emotional sacrifices.

Some have 3 and 4 kids. lol

My Sous Chef makes close to 50g's. His wife is a stay at home mother. He has 4 kids. They all live quite well in a very nice house in a respectable neighborhood.
