How coked up was he when he made this song with Rick James.

Re: Off Topic 2011
It's been a long day/night.
I woke up at 5am for work yesterday morning (I say yesterday because it's 1:18am right now). I worked 6-3p and then came home from work, went back to town to buy a few things and chill with some friends, got home at 10:30 and my mom is getting ready to go to the emergency room.. because my grandmother's blood pressure shot up abnormally and couldn't stop shaking (she's fine now.. just some problems with her blood pressure medicine, etc) so I drove my mom to the hospital in her vehicle and sat in the emergency room playing super mario bros on my gameboy advance sp, drove back home and now it's 1:18am and I'm exhausted.Comment

Soda is a type of water.
Pop is an adjective or verb. Not a noun.

Cokes. They're all cokes when speaking generically.
Dude 1: "Want a coke?"
Dude 2: "Totally"
Dude 1: "Solid. What do you want? We got Coca-Cola, Mountain Dew, and Dr. Pepper."
Dude 2: "Mountain Dew."

Re: Off Topic 2011
Wikipedia says the correct term is "soft drink". Soda redirects there, it's one of the numerous pages listed when you type in "coke", and I would assume pop gets there somehow too.
Also, does anybody really refer to Coke (the brand) as "Coca-Cola"? Nobody around here says that. "What do you want to drink?" "I'll have a Coke." is all you'll ever hear.Last edited by Bellsprout; 02-08-2011, 04:09 AM.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Pop sounds like a little kiddie drink you would get at Chuck E. Cheese.
Coke is referring to a specific type of soda, so it's confusing and makes zero sense when you try to use it as a blanket term.
Soda's the clear cut best choice.Comment
