Re: Off Topic 2011
Sorry to jump back in, but the phone thing is ridiculous. The Pre uses WebOS which is probably the best operating system I've used for anything. Also the Pre + on Verizon is much faster and has better specs than the Sprint one, which I have. Also, HP is in FULL support of the operating system and is actually holding an announcement tomorrow (Feb 9) about a ton of new hardware for WebOS. Paying $649 (SIX FORTY NINE) for a ****ing PHONE that isn't even going to be the top of the line when a new one comes out in a couple months is ****ing absurd. What, are you going to complain when you get this one, and the new one comes out, and you're still locked in some ****ty Verizon contract? If you wanted the iPhone so bad, you should have gone to ATT when your contract was up last time.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 02-09-2011, 01:23 AM.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
The Pre is just a wannabe Android/iPhone IMO...the app catalog is atrocious, my screen often decides not to do what I want it to do, and my keyboard doesn't work right after only 8 months. Sure it's fast, but what does it matter when there's no good apps to take advantage of that?Sorry to jump back in, but the phone thing is ridiculous. I haven't been able to get out of my Verizon contract because my mom has used my last 2 upgrades without letting me know in advance, so I would've had to drop insane money for the termination fee. The only reason I got the Pre is because they were running a special deal at the time, and at that point everyone was saying there was "no chance" the iPhone would be coming to Verizon until 2012 at the earliest. Had I not been mislead, my contract expiration would've matched up with the alleged iPhone release date.Last edited by BunnyHardaway; 02-09-2011, 01:42 AM.Comment

A) WebOS is unbelievable. If you think it's just a "wannabe", then, well....I don't know what to say. Wait and see what happens tomorrow is all I can say. It's capabilities are absolutely remarkable. Besides, what exactly do you use apps for? Do you want apps because they recognize random songs playing? What apps are there that you want that are not available in the Pre's app catalog? Serious question. I can get ANYTHING done on my phone. If there isn't a dedicated app for something, there is damn sure a more-than-capable mobile version of whatever I'm trying to access anyway. The Pre is just a wannabe Android/iPhone IMO...the app catalog is atrocious, my screen often decides not to do what I want it to do, and my keyboard doesn't work right after only 8 months. B) If your phone is malfunctioning, then its on you to get it fixed or replaced by Verizon. I don't know how their stupid policies work, but when there's a will there's a way.
C) You should have never listened to speculation. Plus, paying a termination fee and going to ATT is probably going to be cheaper than paying SIX FORTY NINE for a phone outright.
It's a damn phone, dude. You need to grow up or else you're going to have serious, SERIOUS problems functioning in the future. Are you trying to impress the people you constantly complain about by getting the iPhone? I mean, the iPhone is a dime a dozen nowadays. I'm more impressed when someone DOESNT have an iPhone, to be quite honest.Comment
