My brother had a similar situation. He swallowed a space maintainer for his teeth. Well at least he told them he swallowed it. Apparently those things are expensive and my mom did the same thing with his stool, only to find out weeks later in the parking lot to the dentist that he hadn't really swallowed it, in fact he saved it under his bed

I guess he didn't like wearing it. But yeah, kids will swallow all kinds of stuff. I remember seeing a story one time about this kid who swallowed some sort of red LED or something and you could see the light through the skin of his stomach. He eventually passed it.

My younger brother stuck a battery up his nose when he was 6 or 7. 10 years later and I still make fun of him about it.

That would be awesome. I'd probably go to school and say I was abducted by aliens and they implanted the light in me.

Batteries can be very dangerous especially when swallowed. The acids in the digestive system can corrode the battery so its acid starts leaking out and eats right through the intestines. Did he have to go to the ER to have it taken out?

Yes he did. It was pretty scary at the moment, but he ended up fine.

cost. The price of having to constantly replace broken bats or worn out bats for the players, is something a great majority(if not all) collegiate baseball teams cannot afford. I wouldn't mind seeing the NCAA somehow step in a maybe sign a deal with Louisville Slugger and making the use wooden bats happen.

With players getting bigger and stronger, I feel the use of aluminum bats is becoming more and more dangerous.

I like watching College Baseball. The sound is annoying, but they're typically higher scoring.


Also, I GET TO SEE THE RED SOX PLAY THE YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


It's spring training, but still. My family's vacation matched up perfectly with a game at City Of Palms Park in Fort Myers, where the Sox play. I'm so excited.

Yeah, same here. My mom bought the tickets and she had some good ones almost bought before the browser decided to close or freeze or something. So we got stuck with upper level tickets instead. But it doesn't matter, at least I'm going!

I once swallowed my hearing aid battery. Luckily I was given an Ex-Lax at the ER and was able to get it out that way. About 5 years later my sister did the exact same thing! She almost had to have surgery to get it out but luckily she was able to pass it out the night before.
