Is it bad that I've been playing Pokemon Red for the better part of the last two days?

It's the opposite of bad. No shame in getting addicted to Pokemon. Happens to the best of us.

I've said it before, but no game on the face of the planet is more addicting.

Going to lunch today with my girlfriend and her Dad. This is significant because even though we've been together for almost 3 years, this will be my first time meeting her dad. It should be awkward. Wish me luck.

Ugh, status report Friday morning. Luckily, as a department, we're going to BW3 to celebrate our boss' birthday and watch basketball. That'll get some of the stress off.

My weekly Dish rant (and also detroit sports scheduling): I understand spring training games not being in HD, so I don't have an issue with that. But why are Red Wings and Pistons games always on the same day at the same time? It's like I can go 3 days with neither of them playing, then they both play and only one is in HD and the other (usually the Pistons) is buried on some alternate SD channel. Then a couple more days go by of neither playing and once again they both play same day same time, and the Pistons get dumped on an SD slot again! Dish said it's not their fault and I should contact fox sports detroit. So I did and FSD told me it IS dish's fault because they don't have enough bandwidth to show all the HD broadcast in actual HD, and a team like the Pistons is always going to get dropped.

Now I have these stupid error messages that keep popping up, at least 50 times a day, probably closer to 100 times a day. Then last night my pause-buildup erased itself randomly and I lost about 30 minutes of gametime on the tourney games (which were in SD, despite my platinum package). They dropped ESPNU from HD and did the same for ESPNews, and yet managed to INCREASE the bill. I'm moving in like 6 weeks and kinda stressed about it, I can't imagine getting Dish again when I move, but I don't know how else to get Versus and all the other sports channels I enjoy without paying through the nose.

I feel your pain, I too get the one game in SD and one in HD when the Bulls/Hawks are playing, as well as when the Cubs/White Soxs/Bulls/Hawks have games on FSN/CSN.

But for the price I'm paying, I cant really afford to switch to anything else

Opposite here, Bum. They don't really seem to schedule them both at the same time always, but when they do, Timberwolves "basketball" always gets shown on FSNorth HD. The Wild are shown on an SD channel from Minneapolis. I freaking hate it.

This isn't a Dish thing, I have Charter Cable, it's just the deal that FSNorth wants to have with the two teams.

Only thing harder then trying to find TruTV in HD is finding the NHL All Star Game on TV.
