Re: Off Topic 2011
I don't know why, but all my Canadian jokes tonight have inspired me to make the single most Canadian picture ever created...

Re: Off Topic 2011
I have once in the food court at my college. I was standing in line and watching as one of the employees wheeled out a bag of milk put in the fountain and as I was watching, this girl standing next to me says something like "I wish I hadn't seen that".
I'm at a loss for words regarding #1 and #2 is just plain disgusting not to mention unsanitary. I would've gone over managements heads with complaints too.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Off Topic 2011
Here's the main things:
1. My one supervisor (in his 60's) has a really, really weird work relationship with this one kid that works there (19 or 20). My supervisor is a nice guy and doesn't really have anything bad to say about anyone, but the way they act at work is really freaking disturbing. Whenever they're together, my supervisor gets this like...giddy look on his face and giggles like mad. On another note, I'm gonna start calling GIGGAS, GIGGLES. Anyway...
The kid, regardless of which department he's in, follows my supervisor around EVERYWHERE, leaving us with his entire section, and when he doesn't know where he is, he'll ask somebody. They take their breaks at the same time, and this kid get a crap ton of hours despite not really doing his job. My supervisor let this kid go to the eyeglasses store in the mall to get his glasses fixed while he was on the clock (he was gone for nearly 2 hours). He's also really cocky and talks to some of the associates like he runs the place. The one night I worked with both of them, I was on the phone with a customer when I looked over and saw them slapping/tickling each other. The one guy I work with who has known the supervisor for 20+ years has said he's never seen him like this with anybody. Let me add, I view everybody regardless of any of their preferences/affiliations/ethnicities as equal, but two co-workers should not be doing things like this in the workplace.
2. I wasn't there (thankfully), but last Thursday one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard happened. This one guy that works there is on the older side, and isn't quite all there...nice guy, just not all there. He has a history of health issues but doesn't take care of them. I guess he had some sort of intestinal issue and wasn't feeling good, and went to the bathroom for a half hour at a time twice that night. That part is fine, the part that isn't fine is that dude crapped his pants. Not only did he do that, but he was literally leaving a trail of excrement down the aisle of the store. Apparently you could smell him from 10 feet away. He was not sent home and continued to wait on customers smelling like ****, AND the supervisor left the excrement on the floor until the maintenance guy came in the morning. The one guy told me he was gagging the whole time, and the supervisor told him "oh stop, it's not that bad". I would've vomited, guaranteed.
3. This ties into #1 a bit. Thankfully I haven't had to deal with this, but at my store, instead of writing people up and/or firing them, you're punished by getting your hours cut, and not just by like 5-10 hours, but to the point where you're lucky to get a shift. The one guy I talk to there had 12 hours combined in the last 3 weeks and has 5 hours combined this week and next. He does his job and is good with customers, but gets that. Then, there's a lady that's been there for 15 years and constantly gets compliments in our customer surveys. A few days ago she told us her hours got cut drastically and doesn't even have a shift next week. So you have a guy that gets 20+ hours a week who doesn't do a thing, but people that actually do their jobs get punished.
Apparently a few people have gone above our store manager and sent in complaints in the last few days, so I'm expecting the fireworks to start going off shortly.

Wow, JJ. What a nightmare situation for whoever has to make the decision of what to do for 1 and 3. Is s/he really going to have to accuse the 60 year-old of having a relationship with a 19 year-old.
#2 is just hilarious.
What kind of store do you work at where it's "OK" to have **** in the aisle and in a dude's pants?Comment

Also Walmart punishment at the store I worked at anyway for speaking out against their horrid work conditions and how they treat their employees was they would cut your hours to 10 hours a week.
Now if it was just 1 8 hour day it would be fine. But no they would give you 3 hours a day for 3 days and on the 4th day give you 1 hour.
They would do that for a month straight. So over time it got to the point that everybody that worked in that store knew what would happen to them and therefore would never speak out against walmart again.Comment

That sounds like some Walmart BS drama. I remember when I worked at Walmart one of the co managers was banging like 5 or 7 female sales associates, hell even was buying drugs off of one of them. Did he get fired for that ? NO. she did though, all he got was transfered to another Walmart but still was co-manager, I was like WTF.
