Actually, lacrosse can be traced back to as early as the fifth century in the Americas. Ice hockey's origins are dateable back to about the 15th century in present-day France and Germany.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
Both invented in Canada, and lacrosse came long before hockey. In a rant about America, you can't go much more wrong.
And I refuse to believe hockey was invented in France or Germany. They're both terrible at it!SpoilerCome to think of it, that hasn't stopped the English from sucking at soccer.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 03-21-2011, 12:41 PM.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
Chipotle is a different kind of mexican food. It's fresher, in most instances, organic and locally grown produce is used. Meats that are free from antibiotics and steriods.
They don't rely heavily on sauces and chilis. It's quite unique for what is considered "mexican".
That said, I haven't had chipotle in couple years. I swear it takes me two days to recover from eating one of their huge burritos. It weighs me down.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Off Topic 2011
Is it bad that I downed a 1 pound burger, 2 milkshakes, a basket of fries, and a soda, all faster than the people I was with, and felt completely fine the next day? Cause that happenedEagles | Phillies | Sixers | Flyers

Re: Off Topic 2011
You must be young. At 36, I can't do those things anymore. Just like the chipotle reference earlier, it would take me days to feel better after a meal like that. I even find myself wanting to eat around 430-500 at night so it gives it time to settle before I go to bed.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. No, but I would feel confident in challenging him if it was a contest of who could eat the most food the fastest of the meal I mentioned above. It was literally no more than 8 minutes for all that to do down (excluding milkshakes, which came before the meal)Eagles | Phillies | Sixers | Flyers
