I got a good laugh at this news story
A Rochester elementary school teacher tied herself to an overhang on the school district headquarters with a sign that read "Suffer not the little children" for six hours on Christmas to protest district policies, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle is reporting.
Lori Thomas, 54, said she's an experienced climber and no one was ever in danger. She was charged with trespass for the 1 a.m. stunt, which didn't get her the media attention she was seeking. "No one came ... it didn't work out the way I had intended," she said to the newspaper.
While she waits for her trial, she has been pulled from her fifth-grade classroom to work on curriculum.
