Nice to see this thread back!

Hey Jnes I see you did what I had done so long ago, shorten the nickname for simplicity. The original version of my nickname was SportsmanTO.

Anyways, The last 4+ days i've been sick like a dog. It seems when I get sick it's almost ALWAYS a doozy. I'm now slowly getting over it but i'm still very fatigued.

Of course, it also leads me to having scores often ruined, but I've lamented enough on that topic
This is my dilemma. I have to watch live sporting events so I know whats going on lol, I hate waiting to watch and don't want the score ruined for me. I don't have a problem with most live sporting events in regards to commercial breaks and halftime shows, but the Super Bowl has too many breaks and too long of breaks and if it's a bad game it takes forever. Hopefully tonight the game is close.

Yes sir, decided it was finally time to drop the 2nd half of it. I also contemplated dropping 12 as well, but I didn't

I need to figure out how I can get the Super Bowl on my EVO 4G while I'm at work tonight (legally).

Also, yay for OT being back!

Not sure, but NFL Mobile App (which is free) allows live video for Verizon users who have VCast (not free)

So I decided to work on my singing voice, and man just doing the warming up your voice exercise really changed my voice. I can breath so much clearer now, my voice has gotten lighter and clearer, and I can sorta sing.

I sound like Aladdin....no joke. Its surreal how much your voice can change when your so used to talking with an untrained larynx lol

I have Sprint, and while they do have a TV app, there is a subscription package that you have to get to watch FOX.

Guess I'll just follow the gamecast...

What kind of...warm-ups do you have to do for that? Did you find like a program or something?

I've always wondered what singers did to warm up their voices, but never remembered to google/youtube it anytime I think of it.

My friend wanted me to try for the school choir because he said I had a good voice(whatever that means Ron). So I figured let me see if there is anything to that. So I, very cost effectively, youtubed singing lessons and ended up in a youtube coma where 2 hours later I was singing all over the place.

From what I gathered, don't shoot me OS singers, all you need to do to warm up is follow a scale with your voice whether you are humming or actually projecting the sound. When you follow the scale, from low to high and back down, you are essentially stretching your vocal chords so that you open up your range of sounds that you make. Like right now if you sing, your voice would crack at points where it really shouldn't and after a warm up, especially if you had no experience prior like me, your voice will sound so different as it wont crack anymore and sounds you couldnt hit before open up. Its a cool experience the first time.

I found this one guy who made it pretty clear and easy to follow. I was very skeptical going in a got blown away. With more practice I may actually try out for the choir...probably not though.

Mind hitting me up with some youtube videos? Not trying to sing that well or join a choir or anything, but it's good to know how to sing when we go out to bars that have kareoke.

Man, it's really been far too long since I've sung. Last year I actually sang in a chorus or something was 2006. I bet I'm not a tenor anymore, heh.

I would never watch the Super Bowl on a delay. The whole thing is too much of an event. It'll easily get spoiled too.

I feel you man, Im def not trying to get insanely good at it but having basic skills never hurt anybody. So there are two guys:

That is part 1 of a 4 part set. Thats the first one I did. If you click on the suggestions you get the other 3 parts and a few extras on singing high notes, vibrato etc

This is part 1 of a 4 part set from a different teacher. I reinforced the first set with this set. This one is a little more silly but it works somehow. He also has alot of extra lessons on singing high, low, with power etc.

What makes them so good is that they dont sound arrogant at all, there young dudes who are down to earth and are aware that you are a beginner. And before you get into the vids, make sure the people around you are aware of what your up to. My roommate thought I was going crazy when I first started.

Over here in Canada we probably get a fraction of the commercials

I will have to look forward to watching stupid robots running around with a football a million times tonight.
