My high school was dominant in basketball in high school. Mostly because we had a guy go to Temple (Lavoy Allen), and a guy go to WVU (Dalton Pepper) and a bunch of others played at DII and DIII schools. We lost in the state semi final at the Palestra when I was a sophomore to Nasir Robinson (Pitt) and Chester. We had a chance to win, but we blew it. Chester was the #1 public school in the nation at the time, too.

In football, we were really good when I was a sophomore too, losing in the state semi final to (ah I forget who), in a 6OT game or something like that

Heh our football team has been very underachieving in the last 3 years I suppose. My freshmen year tho the varsity went into a crazy tie breaker game with 3 other schools, but didn't win. Were beast at special teams as we've sent 2 kickers to DI schools, Matt Bosher(Miami) and Cody Parkey(Auburn)

I was starting Offensive Tackle on my JV team that won the NY CHSFL championship.

The next year we all got called up and proceded to win my school's first ever NY CHSFL Varsity championship. I wore the ring and jacket for the better part of three years before I realized I was living in the past lol.

The following year we got invited to play in some NJ high school classic at Giants Stadium...where we proceeded to get demolished 40+ to 0. New Jersey football blows away NYC football. The home crowd was rediculous. The stadium was filled with fans from 5 different highschools and they were rally crying and chanting against each other in the stands.

My HS football team was so bad we once trailed in a game 62-0 at half time against a conference rival.

Our basketball team was so bad our varsity once lost by 100 points to a Class A JV team.

However, we did dominate tennis and cross country

My high school was really good until it split off into another school. Now they're average at football, crap at basketball, mediocre at baseball.

Our rival has won 2 of the last 4 6A basketball titles and 2 of the last 5 6A baseball titles. That blows. We haven't won a state title in a major sport since the 90s.

My high school was TERRIBLE at the big two sports (football/basketball) until I got to high school, but we had really good teams in other sports. Our wrestling team won the state championship in '03 and had an individual state champion on it, we had a bunch of state champion track and field people, and our girls' basketball and field hockey teams were really good. When I got to high school our football team started getting a lot better, and our senior year we went (I think) 13-2 and made it to the state semifinals. Our basketball team was still a joke because our coach was incompetent and in return we didn't take it seriously. They got a new coach for this season and finished 19-4 and made the playoffs, but the team still hasn't even won a district championship since like 1998. Our baseball team was really good our senior year as well, the team they lost to in the playoffs won states.

To this day the school's only team state championships are the wrestling one in '03 and then girls' swimming and diving in the late 90's. We're one of the schools that's competitive in most sports, but don't have any "great" teams.

Ive been to cracker barrel 3 times. I felt like I was about to die 3 times.

The best meal of my life was at a Cracker Barrell on the outskirts of Nashville, TN.

I had just gotten out of an all day music fest (Hardcore/Metalcore) and I hadn't eaten since breakfast. It was 11pm. I went to cracker barrel. I got a coke, Chicken and Dumplings, Mac n' Cheese and hashbrown casserole. I ate it all in like 10 minutes. I don't think I've ever been hungrier in my life.



About high school sports, Mine is absolutely terrible at Basketball and football, but we're great at Track and XC. Not too shabby at baseball either.
