Damn, sorry to hear JBH.

I started my field experience/observation Tuesday. When thinking of becoming a teacher, I overlooked waking up at 6am. I'm not a coffee drinker, I've gone out and bought a coffee maker.

I also have another semester of field experience in the fall and then student teach next spring semester. I'll be taking summer school this year and have early morning lifting with the football team. I've come to the sad realization my days of sleeping in are now officially over.

I got 5 tickets. It's going to cost me about 1,000 less to fly vs driving. Plus about 3 days less to get there. (Two hour flight)

I drove up there a few years ago. And while it was fun taking all the sceneic routes, staying in hotels, etc..I'll never do it again.

AT&T box. Came with everything.

Teaching is tough man. I have the utmost respect for those that do it. The summers/time off is most warranted. They work you to the bone w/ all the collateral duties they give you, the pay is not comparative to the amount of work, stress, and scrutiny you are put under.

What's going on?

I'm starting to hate where I work. The people I immediately work with are great people (sans one) and I enjoy working with them. However, outside of this room, the rest of the company treats our department like the red-headed step-child of the company. We also get every piece of work imaginable dumped on us. We were supposed to release a new version of our software in December. It still hasn't been released, because we've been buried in work. In fact, of the three developers in the department, no one is working on the application to try to get it out into the world because we all have other side projects. I don't doubt that we can make money by doing side projects, but I feel like we're alienating our customer base for our main product.

More personally, I've written an entire installable desktop application in 4 weeks, during which I've had the flu, and I don't feel like the amount of effort I'm putting in to this is garnering anything outside of this room. In fact, I feel like I'm going to get yelled at if this slips, which to me is insane, because I had the flu and yet it's still close to being a sellable product at this point.

Really, I think this all started when I was told that an entry level position at the company I applied to was a 14% raise over what I currently have, with 2 years experience. There are far more perks at that other company, as they seem to care about their employees. I've never felt that at this company.

Well, my boss just let me know that people are impressed with my work.

So maybe it's not all bad. I had constructed some **** in my head. I do have a tendency to make things worse in my head.

I just need to clear it all out, is all.

I've started listening to classical music in my patrol car. When I listen to the radio I hear the same songs over and over again which gets really old, really fast. When I listen to talk radio it pisses me off to no end.

I'm going to be a special Ed teacher so add 10x more BS on my plate lol. But it's something I want to do and so far, enjoy being involved with. I also coach football so it's nice to see the fear in the 12-14 year old eyes when they see me in the school too.

So I wake up this morning, and my car is gone...

It had been towed. Nevermind the huge issues created that my wife, on her way to go teach 8th graders, now has to take me and our son to the towers lot, and find coverage for her classes which just screws her whole day up......

In order for these jokers to have towed my car, they broke into it to disengage the E-brake. How is that legal? Under certain circumstances I could understand, but my car was parked in a guest spot outside my home. We have lived there for 5 yrs, and never once was my car towed from that spot. Did I have my guest pass up? No.

Still.....they break into my car?

They didn't even give you a warning from a spot near your own place? That's rough man, sorry to hear that.
