So I read EA has decided to go green and will stop printing game manuals in all of their games.......

So if that is the case, I say the price of all games should decrease by $10 to $15.

I seriously doubt it costs them $10 to $15 to print a manual.

Now if you'd have said the price should go down like 30 cents, then I'd agree.

Seriously, though, I buy the game. I don't care if it comes in a paper envelope, I'm dropping the cash because of the game. The case and manual are just bonuses.

Developing a boxed game for the XBOX360 or Playstation3 is a multimillion-dollar effort anymore. You have to pay not only the programmers to make the game, but also the 3D modelers, 3D animators, motion capture team, texture artists, game designers, game script writers, voice actors, musicians, sound designers, quality assurance team, etc. etc.

Manual or no manual, charging $60 for such a title in this day and age is, IMO, not unreasonable at all.

It is going to be the same way Fight Night Champion is. In that case it is nothing but the disc and 2 flyers.
