It seems like I remember seeing parts of this before.

I'm most familiar with the later years, because it all happened when I was a kid and big into wrestling.

It parallels with "The Monday Night Wars" DVD

I don't know if you can take everything at face value with those WWE documentaries that have to do with WCW or the Monday Night Wars as they sometimes have the feel of History as told by the Victors if you know what I mean. Still, I have to admit the production values and some of the information is great and you can't go wrong with any of that bonus footage that you get with these DVDs.

The True Story of Wrestlemania doc felt like that to me. Like "Hey, look how great we are for making Wrestlemania! Aren't we great? Isn't this great? You're damn right it's great!"

I still enjoyed it, but it felt really self-congratulatory.

Monday Night Wars felt neutral. I fully believe Vince was a good guy until the chick dumped the belt in the trash and Luger showed up on Nitro.

Rise and fall of Ecw felt genuine.

Rise and fall of WCW felt neutral also. Mainly b/c any fan seen that crap failing and pretty much knew why.


EDIT: haven't watched the wresltemania doc. Now that you say that, Im not as anxious to.

Yup. Welcome to Alaska where you really have no other options. At least my cable bill will go down when I move into my new apartment as the pay for some of the cable. They have some sort of deal with GCI.

I was just streaming some of season 2 of Parks and Rec and Aziz Ansari is the MAN. Love that guy.

Anyway since I'm already on Netflix right now I might as well check out some of those wrestling documentaries you guys were mentioning. The Monday Night Wars one sounds pretty cool. Is that on Netflix instant by any chance?
