I think were in the clear here. Had watches and warnings for most of the day. I reckon your not hoping for the siren to go off right? Unless your one of those storm chasers.

I don't know why but the mention of tornado sirens reminded me of an incident from when I was in college. Not wanting to eat the crap the dining halls tried to pass off as food, I'd decided to walk to McDonalds for dinner. This is probably a 1-1.5 mile walk (I went to a small rural private college and the walk was all on one road that bordered campus). Anyway, I checked the weather/radar before I left and there didn't appear to be any rain in the area and the sun was out so I THOUGHT I was safe. Well, I get to McDonalds and am eating my food and watching out the window as clouds are rolling in and it's getting darker and darker. I start walking fast back to campus all the while it's getting darker and darker then it starts thundering and lightning so about half way back I decided it might not be safe to be outside anymore so I ducked inside Burger King. A couple minutes later the tornado sirens start going off (having lived in Pittsburgh all my life (tornados extremely rare here) that was actually the first time I'd ever heard one. Then the skies open up and the rain starts coming down in buckets. It was coming down so fast the streets quickly flooded and water actually started coming in under the Burger King doors. About 20 minutes later it stopped raining and the sun came back out, but I had to wait another 5-10 minutes for the rivers in the streets to subside enough so I could cross. I get back to my dorm and check the radar again and there's just this one single cell that had by then moved into the nexty county. Oh, and my window was open so I had a mess to clean up and my alarm clock was ruined.
