If it's a great offer, I've always been interested in Seattle. Seems like a pretty neat place to live. I could see myself turning into a Seahawks/Mariners/Sounders/hopefully future NHL team fan there, if I ever did move out there.

I don't think I'll ever leave the South East, but once I get my teaching degree I might explore my options. Florida is pretty bad for teaching atleast Palm Beach County was, so I might explore moving back to Louisiana or somewhere else. Moving somewhere else seems pretty exciting now that I think of it, but something that'd be hard for me to do.

Honestly, part of me wishes I didn't have to leave SWVA. I love Blacksburg... it's where I've spent most of my time (with a brief section in Radford). All my friends and family are here.

But the other part of me looks at my fiance's ambition and the opportunities for me and my skillset elsewhere, and that excites me.

So, to understate it, I'm torn.

Yeah that's how I feel about it now just thinking of it and how I felt when I left Jupiter to come up here to FSU.

I've never really wanted to leave Massachusetts because my extended family is pretty tight and I like spending alot of time with them when I get the chance. But in the past year or so, I've gotten more open to the possibility of living in other parts of the country if my future career takes me there.

Yeah, I've grown up and lived where I do now my whole life, so it's a bit daunting to think about moving elsewhere. It's a great area... but if the opportunity is right, and now that I have a fiance' to think about too, you gotta do what you gotta do to make your dreams come true.

I think the rain might get to me, though.

Ehh, I bet the rain is overstated. And not all rains are created equal. There can be nice, relaxing rain. And Seattle (and the whole West coast) is more tech savvy then the East, and seeing how you're in that industry just seems like a good fit.

I'll stop living my fantasies through your job offers now.

It's nice to get away from where you've grown up for a bit. I lived in NC for 22 years before I moved out here to Denver for grad school. I've loved it out here, but it is tough being away from family. My brother and his wife had a little girl who is turning 3 this summer and I haven't gotten to see her much which breaks my heart. I think everyone should experience a different part of the country for a little while, it really opens your eyes to the biases that you developed from where you grew up
