Re: Off Topic 2011
There is a good mall about 30-40 minutes from me with slashed prices everyday. I see people from the surrounding states even come there. I can't even count on how much I've saved compared to the mall or stores by my house.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
question for the OT. When I go to buy a newspaper for my dad and a gatorade (a whopping $2.22 transaction), do I tell the Korean lady Thank You or is she supposed to? I always though the customer was supposed to say thank you, but I can see why it's the seller. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Both should say it to each other, because it's an exchange where both people benefit.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I'm pretty awkward when it comes to meeting new people sometimes.
This happened a few years ago but I just thought it of it. My friends older brother drove to my house to drop off a hat that I left.
He says "What's up?"
Me, thinking he was going to say "How you doin'?" or something, I respond with "Good, man"

WTFOriginally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Of all the professions, after all, few people are less suited to be suddenly thrown into the public eye than chefs. We're used to doing what we do in private, behind closed doors.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
I say "Thank you" to every cashier when I grab my bags to leave.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Movie Employee: " Thank You enjoy your movie"
Me: "You too"

I changed "have a good day/night" to "have a good one" because I kept saying it at the wrong times, LOL.Comment
