So today I realize that I don't spend quality time with my younger siblings. When I'm home, I'm usually locked in my room away from everyone. When ever they would want to spend time, I would politely push them away.
So today I realized this and decided to spend time with them. I was playing 2K11 with my brother who's only 9, teaching him fundamental basketball and how to play sim. Surprisingly he picked it up real well and understood everything I was explaining.
He has 2K experience, so he was already decent. With the fundamentals I taught him and his previous experience, he was able to hang with me on default All-Star. He didn't know what Pick & Roll was so I taught him, his next few plays he ran the pick roll damn near to perfection. He had a nice play where he ran a PnR with Lawson and K-Mart, he used the pick, drove to the lane with Lawson and kicked it out to a open JR Smith. In the 4th quarter he would pause the game, go to the replays and explained what I did wrong on the offensive end! Haha I was amazed, especially when he pulled off advanced shots in the right situation.
Had fun with them today, hopefully I'll spend more time with the kids, instead of pushing them away, when all they want is attention from their big brother.
