REP: How are you today?
ME: A little poorer. You charged me twice the normal amount.
REP: Oh, so sorry to hear that. What happened was we gave you a 50% discount for the first year, so now it is the normal rate.
ME: Okay. Well, go ahead and cancel my subscription (poker face).
REP: Well, what I can do is offer you the same 50% discount for the next 2 years.
ME: That was easier than I thought, thank you.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
Couldn't think of where to put this so I figured here would be safiest.
I think the Overall Ratings system is begining to become a problem here at Operation Sports(the OVR for OS users). I have begun to suspect that a few newly registered members are viewing it some kind of status or 360 accomplishment and "chasing" a high overall. I'll give an example to better illustrate what I mean.
In the 2k basketball forum a user who registered in April now has an OVR of 40. For the past few days he has started 4-5 new threads everyday. These are often threads that gain little traction, but are not off topic enough to get closed or deleted by the MODS. What I mean by gain little traction is they don't really generate any productive discussion if they generate any discussion at all. It's not so bad when one guy is doing it, although it is annoying, but as I said before it now seems that other new members(like joined in August or Sept. 2011) see him and his 40 OVR and all the threads he started and they think, "hey my OVR is 6 and that's lame, that guy has a 40 OVR and hasn't been here that long and all he does he start a bunch of threads. Maybe if I start a bunch of threads I can have a 40 OVR too." And then there are more pointless threads that start popping up.
For me, Operation Sports isn't something that people should be trying to "WIN" at, it's a place for information and discussion and finding a community of like minded individuals.

But seriously, I don't like the overall system. The amount of pictures a person has in their arena doesn't determine what kind of member they are.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2011
Yeah, but there was a dude(not sure if it was a BOT or not{unintentional rhyme}) who spammed the 2k basketball forum a couple weeks ago. He was going off on the evils of American women. His name was Rambo then a random series of numbers. At first it ticked me off, but he said some pretty funny stuff before he got the ban hammer."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment
