I often forget that PS1 controllers didn't originally have analog sticks.

I didn't get my PS1 until the DualShock controller was fairly standard.

I have a drawer in my entertainment center that is a controller graveyard. Dont know why i keep it for parts because when i slam controllers they are beyond repairable.

In my Playstation lifetime (PS, PS2, PS3) ive broken more than 30 controllers. No exaggeration. I might even be a little under the exact number. I have rage issues.

It was actually a good controller, felt good in my hands. It had the same feel as the X360 one has today.


Almost forgot the best part, the fricking cord was huge.

That is a ****load of money to have spent on controllers. You should almost go 360 just for the fact that the controllers are like bricks, and are nowhere near as flimsy as PS controllers.

I had the same one. Can't remember how i got it though. I think one of my buddies brought it over and left it. I wouldve never bought it with my money.

Tell me about it. I'm probably on my 8th PS3 controller. I only keep one controller, they last longer that way. If i ever have 2 i won't hesitate to destroy one of them. Average lifespan of a PS3 controller for me is a good 8 months.

N64 controllers were so flimsy you could probably squeeze the 2 outer handles together and it would probably snap.

I would like to know who designed those things. They are one of the ugliest and most uncomfortable controllers I've seen, even worse than the dreamcast controller.

I recently discovered that the 64 analog shape is identical to the analog controller piece on the wii nunchuck.

On the topic of controller violence, I once whipped my brother over the back with a PSX controller cord when he beat me in a cage match for the world title in the original WWF Smackdown.

In a different match, my brother lost the belt in an abruptly-"booked" fatal four way, took his red PSX controller, and smashed it on our brick patio. Somehow, it still worked. That became his lucky controller from thereforth, with which he'd become unstoppable with guys like Jeff Hardy and Tazz in those old games.
