I know this isn't the Madden Franchise forum, but man..

I just wrapped up season 1 in my franchise. I started it back on September 9th. Finished the season 15-4, while playing every game with my Lions..

Played the Pats in the SuperBowl and it came down to the end. The Patriots were leading 13-10 and I was driving and inside the 10 yard line with a little over 2 minutes to go. I call another run up the gut with Best and he gets rocked and fumbles the ball back to the Patriots and I couldn't quit cussing.

They run three straight run plays and I stuff them and it's 4th and 1.. they punt, I find a way to string a few plays together with only 1 timeout remaining and kick a 37 yard field goal to tie it.

In overtime, I run it right down their throat and punch it in the end zone with Best (little bit of redemption) and win the game 19-13. Very crazy game indeed.

If you ask me hockey is probably the best sport to watch live. I haven't gone to a live football game yet though. I find the hockey experience to be very entertaining and if you're near the glass it can be an adrenaline rush when guys are getting checked into the boards.

Really awesome sport to see live.

I'd have to agree wholeheartedly here. I've been to a handful of Celtics games, a few Sox games, and a few Pats games. But by far the best experience and the most fun I've had at sporting events came when was at Bruins games. Hockey fans are intense as hell and don't have quite the "pink hat" fan base that some of the other sports have.

Don't know if it's quite considered a sport here or not, but you can't go wrong seeing a NASCAR race in person. TV does it no justice. Especially the smaller tracks where you can constantly see the cars.

Football, baseball, basketball, all are, IMO, made for TV sports.

I went to the Bristol night race in '03 and loved it. I'd put that up there with going to see the 2nd round tournament games in D.C. last March.

I'm not much of a hockey fan but I love going to hockey games. I'm going to a Blackhawks game tomorrow night.

I go to Chicago Wolves (AHL) games all the time and sit right near the ice for cheap and it's awesome being that close.

It's Talladega weekend.

I don't watch much Nascar anymore, but I do love to go to 'dega.

It's fun to watch, but it's even more fun if you have the money/resources to camp out. Huge party is an understatement.

I've got a few friends who are down there selling firewood this weekend. They are making a killing.

So, I've finally decided to give hockey the honest shot that it deserves, after my pining for a team earlier today.

I picked Minnesota because, well, because they're the team who's games I get. So, I sit down tonight to watch my first Wild game this season, and for 59:59, it isn't all that fun. They derp a goal to Edmonton and blow the few chances they created for themselves. But it was only 1-0. And then the magic happened. Dany Heatley buries a goal from a difficult angle with 1.2 seconds left in the game to tie it, Wild win in a shootout.

That was awesome. When's the next game?

And here I am forgetting they played last night.

I don't pay as much attention to NASCAR as I did a couple years ago but I would love to go to Bristol, Martinsville, and Darlington.

As for hockey being one of the best sports to watch live, I totally agree. When I was growing up I had relatives that had season tickets to the Caps when they used to play at the USair Arena. After moving to NC I've been to a few Hurricanes games and it's a blast. I think the people that don't like hockey don't understand the rules and nuances of the game. Oh and playoff hockey is absolutely crazy.
