I'm curious, you people that sell defective gaming consoles on Ebay and the like, do you make note of that or just try to pass it off as still working?

I'm pretty sure (at least I hope) they identify it as broken. A lot of people like to buy busted units, fix them up and resell them for a profit.

My brother-in-law does that with both the 360 and PS3. Pretty lucritive from what he says.

On another note, we need more Ryan Spencer in off topic. It would help the entertainment value immenesly.

I try not to water it down too much. You guys are so money. I can't tell you how many times I've taken a quick peek in here during work and ended up busting out laughing.

In all honesty that's how it used to be when I first ventured into the old OT but back then.... most were yours!

Well, other than being a member for over 8 years and having 22,000 posts...I had an event occur last night and I immediately realized it played out like a rage comic. It's a semi-long story so I can't put it in a standard rage comic..

Saturday night, me and the g/f were at a wedding reception. The wedding party had a small charter bus drive the party to the bars after the reception and since my g/f was a bridesmaid, I could ride along meaning I could continue drinking and not have to worry about paying for a cab to get home..

So we leave her car at the reception and go downtown to the bars for the remainder of the night. Then yesterday we leave her house to make the 30 minute drive to the the place where the reception was. The plan was to pick up her car and drive our separate ways from there since it would be 8 PM when we got to the reception hall. I pull up and the entrance is gated and the gate is locked with the building closed until 8 AM the next morning according to the sign...

So we decide to call the owner of the place hoping he can come out there and open the gate so we can get her car out of the parking lot. I barely had enough gas to get back to my house and driving her back to her place then going home was going to cause a monetary problem. the guy answers and informs us he is out of town and the hall is closed until Wednesday...

After ending the phone call, I start thinking to myself. Even though both gated entrances on the main road are locked, maybe there's another entrance out behind the hall somewhere and I can get her car out that way(the gate in the main entrance is only 2 feet tall so I could get into the property, just couldn't get the car out)...

I hop the gate and get to the car. The property this thing is on is massive and I drive around following this gravel path for about 5 minutes when I hit a paved road at the edge of the property. I drive about 0.1 miles and at the end of this road is another gate that's closed...

I hop out to check and see if it's locked like the other gates, with a master lock. A caribeaner(sp?) is the lock and I'm thinking to myself, surely this isn't the only thing keeping this gate closed. But alas, it was and nearly 3 miles from the main entrance gate and on the back side of the property, I've found a gate I can open and get this damn car out and on the road...

As I close the gate upon leaving, a car drive right by me on the road. I didn't really care if I had just done a B&E, I got the car out and completed the objective...

I drove the 3 miles down the road back to the main entrance where my g/f was expecting a quickie for being a boss and getting her car out. All I got was a kiss and a "good job sweetie"...

As I drove past the road where the back entrance was I could see in the distance the gate was still slightly open and I hadn't closed it like I thought I did but I wanted to get home and watch the ending of the Jets-Pats game...

Today the owner called my phone and asked if my car was still there. He said if I needed the car today, he could get someone out there to open the gate and let us in. I told him we didn't need the car today and it we could just wait and get it sometime Wednesday when they opened again...

                    Well, I liked your story...
